1: On May 18, 1980, around 30 years ago at about 8:30 a.m. Mount St. Helen's in Washington, U.S.A. shook at about a 5.1 magnitude earth quake, which led to one of the largest landslides in history. The entire North Slope slid away.

2: An Estimated 60 people died from the explosion

3: There was debris that spread everywhere and killed 5 of the 60 people.

4: It has a convergent boundary, it's active, and it has composite eruptions.

5: Mount St. Helens is located in Skamania County, Washington

6: It is said that the ash clouds rose 80,000 feet in the air.

7: The boom was so loud that you could hear it from miles away.

8: March 15, 1980: The volcano started low-level seismic activity. | March 15-19, 1980: Very small earthquakes occur. | March 20, 1980: A 4.1 earthquake occurred.

9: March 27-April 18, 1980: Earthquakes and steam driven explosions occur on and off. | May 7-13: Small explosions of steam and ash occur. | May 18, 1980: A major eruption occurred killing about 60 people

10: May 25, 1980: The volcano erupted. | July 22, 1990: The volcano erupted again. | August 7, 1990: The volcano erupted again. | June 12, 2004: The volcano erupted for it's start of explosions in 2004.

11: June 15, 2004: Mt. Saint Helens first 3 domes formed. | October 16-18, 2004: Multiple erosions happened. | October 18, 2004: Another dome formed on the volcano.
