1: slavery in the time of Mark Twain He saw a lot of black people chained and laying on the pavement. The slaves were treated badly. They would be harsh enough to chain them up.
2: Run Away Slaves | A $150 reward for someone to find a run away slave. | Slaves attempted to run away. They set up posters of them and tried to capture them, so it was hard for slaves to escape.
