There’s a course you take in school, Where reading and writing are essential. I guess reading is pretty cool, And writing is a lot of fun, Except when it’s a poem about Language Arts. Enough of that, I’m done! But really, though, This class is nice, Because I like to read And analyze, and write. At least it’s me that enjoys this class, But I think I may not like some things. Poetry, for example, is alright if I get my pick, But I’m always forced, I never choose the topic. It’s still alright, though, the Language Arts class. I know I enjoy it, or at least to an extent.

Early in the morning, right after night, And a young girl wakes up, and walks down. She goes into the kitchen, turns on the light. And is blinded when it switches to very bright. Her Mother is busy, starting the day. Her father’s left for work and gone to town. Her brother is working, no time for play. And her other brother is sick, in bed he’ll stay. The oven is off, but the something is on. The microwave let out a beeping sound. It’s odd for something to run before dawn, Before the lights of the sky shine onto the lawn. Some food in the kitchen is sitting there. A dead green apple fell to the ground, Missing the girl by just a hair. Startled by the sound, she ran away scared. “You shouldn’t be up, it’s not right!” Her Mother cried from across the way, “But I guess it’s alright,” she said with a yawn, “Just go upstairs and pick some clothes to wear.”

Sometimes I stay, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I leave, sometimes I won’t. Depending on my mood, I might even wander about. It really just depends on how I feel that day. I’m not (the average) person here. But I learned when to stay and when to go Because I am simply me. I’m not just going to lie around, My worth is not determined by what I can’t do. No matter what happens I will always be the one that I call “me”.

Standing tall with long, lengthy halls. Forever a place where smart students swarm Up and down stairs to get around and about. In a brand new building, set up this year, The teachers and students find it all thrilling. Though school would be good anywhere that you could, GSMST is the place where the words “the best” simply Lingering in the air. But let’s not forget that this is Gwinnett. Blocking good websites for research, Like Wikipedia, YouTube, and some others. But that’s not a problem, no worries, no bothers. Hoping to stay for four years of their lives, Students strategically study for each class’s test. The clubs around here are busy, With homework and school to boot, it’s never quite easy. But that’s kinda the point here at this place. But oddly, I don’t feel like it’s being shoved into my face.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. "Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!" He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. "And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy. `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
