1: Problem/goal: | We were aiming to make the best aerodynamic rocket that could fly the highest. | We became sudden team of aerospace engineers...
2: Background research | In class, we have done some experiments to try see which solvent is the best to use, what solvent temperature, and particle size of the solute.
3: We also done some research to see what a rocket needs to be aerodynamic, by researching on some websites, and skyping with a Delta pilot.
4: Imagine our rocket | We imagined our dream rocket by drawing, labeling it , and writing down what we think is the best solvent, and particle size of the alka seltzer(solute) in our journals.
5: This is my dream rocket that I drew and described in my journal.
6: Plan our rocket | We planned our rocket when we got together and went on google docs to draw our rocket "blueprint."

8: Design our rocket | We then designed it. It had no wings or cone as we wanted it to, but it had hot water with a large alka-seltzer. It didn't fly very high though because it was not shut tight.
9: Improve our rocket | We wanted to make it much better. That's why scientist made the improve step! So, this time we made our rocket the same with no wings and cone, but we had room temperature water with a third of alka seltzer

12: Reasons why we chose... | 1st rocket : | Recipe : -Hot water -1 large tablet (we couldn't put these things in:) -triangular wings (card stock) | 2nd rocket: | Recipe: -Room temperature water -1 small tablet - No wings at all - a few designs on the rocket
13: Our first rocket launch didn't go so well. But not every first try is perfect... | Thats why scientists gave us the improve step! And guess what...
14: It took time for it the alka seltzer to dissolve but... It flew successfully! | Reach for the stars!
15: Conclusion | So our rocket did fly the highest, but I believe there could be a lot more things to experiment too. Maybe to aim to make it fly even higher or also so it won't take long for the alka seltzer to dissolve. I learned many things from this experience. Who knows? Maybe me or you will become an aerospace engineer!
