"old enough to know better... | I never thought I would see the day that I would enter into my senior year. It seems like just yesterday I remember middle school and all its ups and downs. Life flys by but my last year at Mount Pleasant High School was a blast. It all starts with a perfect summer and ends with a perfect summer. I have my goals set high and dreams of what I hope to accomplish in my future. If there is one thing I have learned while in school it is that you can do anything you set your mind to. Settling is not in my dictionary for life. Senior year was all about true friendships and getting into a college. My path for next year is UNC-Greensboro and I hope it turns out to all I expect it to be. But as it rolls around to the last few weeks of graduation, this mixbook I used as a look back into the highlights of my last year here at Mount Pleasant High School.

 summer '09

SUMMER '09 | At the beginning of summer, my best friend and I had no better idea of how to spend our month of June then to take a road trip down to Daytona Beach, Florida. I had to race in Sebring but after that we continued our trip up to NC to meet my parents on our boat in Ocean Isle Beach.

THE JOURNEY HAS BEEN FUN... | MY SUMMER! | Starting off hanging out with my friend after she had surgery, flying my daddy's airplane all over, cheerleading sleepovers and parasailing the Atlantic Coast....

...but now it is time for school | ...and ending with hanging out with friends and enjoying the last few days of summer.

 Fall '09

Through all sporting events, fall grades, 18th birthday parties and family trips... | ...fall semester seemed to fly by.

FALL SEMESTER | The best part of the whole semester would have to be in January when I presented my senior project. That meant I was done! :)

 HOMECOMING '09

s | Homecoming this year was all about good friends and good times. It was a blast!

Friends are people that no matter what will always be there. This year I have needed that more than ever before. | my backbone

 my backbone

 family

During my senior year my family and I went to Scottsdale, Arizona, Las Vegas, California, Ocean Isle Beach and Disney World. We had quite the adventurous year but it seemed to make it fly by too quick. | trips

 spring '10

May 1st, 2010, my senior year prom was so much better than last year! I took my boyfriend as my date and we had a blast! It was a great way to end my high school years of prom!

 a shimmering night | PROM 2010

 "livin' the suite life...

...PINKS all out style!" | April 17, 2010 My dad surprised us with all day suite tickets for the Charlotte Motorspeedway suite. We were able to enjoy the whole suite a long with food and drinks

the pink panther | During my junior year my dad and I began this project. We finished over last summer so now at the start of my senior year we started to race it.. This was such a great bonding experience for my dad and I. After completing my senior exit project with it and winning many races, stating August it will go back to just my dad as I go off to school.

...but too young to care. | You start out your senior year not really having any idea of what to expect or what you will experience in the next year. I can tell you that in my senior year, everything changed for me. I guess for the last four years I had a direct path that I was heading down and for no reason I saw, I did not think I would have to change that path. Now as my senior year is ending I step back and look at all that happened, all that I have accomplished and all that I saw and I would have never guessed my senior year would turn out like that. Every student here at Mount Pleasant High School had their up and down days or maybe even weeks but always pulled through. My senior year was a blast for the most part, I hope all my fellow seniors could say the same!
