1: A long time ago in London England, a baby boy was born on February 7th, 1478. His name was Thomas More.
2: His family lived in a town called Cripplegate near London England...
3: where his father worked as a butler at Lincoln's Inn.
4: Once Thomas was old enough, he attended St. Anthony's School in London.
5: After graduating from St. Anthony's, he went to a college called Canterbury Hall.
6: Later, he attended a school named New Inn. There he was studying law.
8: After he finished law school, Thomas spent 4 years in the Catholic Church as a monk.
9: He spent much of his time praying, fasting, and teaching others about the Bible.
10: Once his time as a monk was over, he began to develop a friendship with Henry VIII, the King of England.
12: He was then elected to Parliament and fought against high taxes.
13: Over time, Thomas persuaded Henry VII into appointing him as an Officer of the Crown.
14: After being elected to Parliament, he became a Judge in the Court of King's Bench and was Knighted by Henry VIII.
16: While he had been working for the King, Sir Thomas More had been studying Humanism.
17: He became inspired by Christian Humanism and wrote the book Utopia.
18: He also found inspiration in the teachings of Colet.
20: Throughout the rest of his life, Sir Thomas More married and taught his children all he knew.
22: Sir Thomas died on July 6th 1535 in London England, leaving behind a great legacy.
