1: By Raphael | The Renaissance; was a cultural movement that spanned the 14th to the 17 th century. Beginning in Florence in the Late Middle Ages , then spreading to the rest of Europe. It gave a new culture to Europe. It is an intellectual quality which gives it so large a place in universal history. As a cultural movement, it is the development of linear perspective in painting and educational reform.

Although Renaissance saw revolutions in many intellectual pursuits as well as social and political upheaval. -Artistic , it is perhaps best known developments and contributions of such ''polymaths'' as Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo , who inspired the term ''renaissance man ''.

8: LEONARDO DA VINCI (April 15,1452 - May 2 , 1519) He was an Italian Polymath. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time. He was born the illegitimate son of notary in the region of Florence .He was educated of the Florentine painter , Verroctlio . He worked at different places , in Rome , Milan , Venice and France. He is renowned as a painter. Two of his works , the Mona Lisa and the Last supper , are the most famous portrait and religious painting of all time. His drawing of the ''Vitruvian Man '' is also regarded as a cultural icon.

10: Michelangelo.. He was an Italian Renaissance painter ,sculptor , architect , poet. he fellow his rival Leonardo da Vinci. When the sheer volume of correspondence , sketches and reminiscences , he is the best documented artist of the 16 th century. two of his best known works, ''pieta'' and ''david '' , were sculpted before he turned thirty. He was the first western artist whose biography was published while he was alive


13: THE CAUSES -The clergy in the church -the fall of Constantinople led to a widespread and systematic study of Greek heritage .An enthusiasm in the study of the classics was injected minds of the Europeans . -A rapid spread of ideas was possible by the introduction of the printing press. -New ideas were brought to Europe by the people from East.

14: -Voyages were conducted to new countries by adventurers

15: -Renaissance is viewed as a bridge between the Middle Ages and the modern area. -The main idea of rebirth lies at the belief that through the study of the intellectual and artistic treasurers of the Greco-Roman antiquity , inspired by Humanism , can be reached greatness, wisdom and enlightenment. -Renaissance made people to think about everything. First time they learned how important the humane life is. that is the reason "renaissance man" judged and discussed everything and it caused the Reformation.
