FC: World War II
1: We were attacked without warning by japan, bombing pearl harbor. So we declared war against Japan. A few days later, Italy and Germany declared war with us.
2: The USA declared war on japan on December 8th 1939. We decided to take action. The war itself ended September 2nd 1945
3: World War Two began after Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany initiated a military campaign against Poland on September 1st, 1939. It was a full fledged attack on the Country. British Prime minister Neville Chamberlain Followed a policy, which tolerated Hitler's Prior invasions of Austria and Czechoslovakia. Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand all declared war against Germany on September 3rd 1939. The Soviet Union only joined in the fight against Nazi Germany in 1941. The United States was brought into the war, Following the Japanese attack on pearl harbor on December 7th, 1941
4: The Major Country's that were involved in World War II were. Britain, France, China, US, Soviet Union, Canada, Australia, Germany, Italy and Japan.
6: When World War II began, most soldiers were given Bolt- Action Rifles. They were not very suitable for battle which demanded a rapid fire rate, and were replaced during the war by newer weaponry. | Sniper Rifles were also used with there long effective range and high accuracy are the only things that count. These are both Bolt- Action rifles which are adapted with magnifying telescopic sights.
7: Semi-Automatic Rifles were naturally the development from the Bolt-Action Rifles. By simply adding a automatic reloading mechanism, these guns provided soldiers with significantly faster rate of fire. These Quickly became the Basic Weapons of World War II. | Hand Grenades have been a important support weapon since ancient times. The explosive hand Grenade is the first weapon provided by soldiers with personal artillery they could carry in there pockets, which was as easy as throwing a stone. Thanks to there simplicity and low price, grenades are still used by army's.
8: Rosie | Rosie The Riveter was a cultural icon of the USA. and Still is to this day. Rosie represented the American women who worked in factories during WWII, many women worked in manufacturing plants that produced munitions and war supplies. Rosie the Riveter is considered a feminist icon in the USA.
10: The new Deal helped reduce a lot of stress and many harsh aspect of the Great Depression but it was WWII that made the real difference. After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor over ten million American men went into the service one or more ways, Opening a huge demand for workers to supply them and the depression was over. After the war was over most of the economy was back to its normal standard.
