S: Our First Year Married - May 08 - May 09

FC: Our First Year Married May 08 - May 09

Our first year being married held all kinds of adventures... moving 3 times, 5 weddings, rodeos, Todd's first time seeing snow fall from the sky, Cody's big accident, road trips, a 5k for charity, hunting trips, a pro-basketball game, and so much more! We were incredibly blessed and grew closer through all of our experiences - the tough stuff and the great stuff...

Our First Camping Trip! | Camping with the Lefkowitz Trinity Lake June, 2008

Happy 4th of July! | Annual BBQ at the Skinner's Home and Costco Parking Lot

On the way home from Josh's house we got two flat tires! We had a spare for the first, but were stranded with the second until AAA came to rescue us.

 Lawson & LIzzy Barnes August 15, 2008

 Derek and Michelle | . . . August 16, 2008 . . .

Kristianna's Bachelorette Party at the Four Seasons, Beverly Hills

 Eles & Kristianna September 2008

6142 Fern Lane Paradise, CA Our first little bungalow

We loved the short time we got to live in this little house. It was, and always will be, our first home!

Hawes Pumpkin Patch with Kaiti and Jarrett

Trick-or-Treating with the Navarros and Januarys | Todd was a tree and Heidi was a tree-hugger

Todd surprised Heidi and took her to Tahoe for her 23rd birthday. We had an amazing time, and Todd saw it snow for the first time!

 Getting our First Christmas Tree!

On the way up to cutting down Christmas Trees with the Navarros, Bryans, Hamiltons and Millers, the Hamiltons got a flat tire! So we had a little impromptu photo-op on the side of the road.

 Our own little Winter Wonderland!

Christmas with the Bryans | Merry Christmas! 2008

Christmas with the Jones and Lopez Family * * *

Every year on January 1st at 1pm Chico holds the Polar Bear Swim across 1-Mile. Kelsey had to leave to go back to OU early in the morning on the 1st, so she did the swim by herself on December 31st. It was so cold! Dad would have done it with her, but he just had surgery on shoulder.

On January 9, 2009 Cody, Brian Hamilton and Austin Skinner went skiing/snowboarding at Boreal in Tahoe. Cody took a jump with too much speed and rotated in the air so that he landed head-first after he over-shot the landing. He was airlifted to Renown Hospital in Reno, NV. He broke the C3 vertebra in his neck, snapped his right arm at the ball-joint, crushed his pelvis, severed his urethra, broke several ribs and bruised his spleen. God worked miraculously to heal Cody with about 1 month in a catheter, 6 weeks in a wheelchair, 3 months in a neck-brace and a steel plate in his arm! Thank you Lord!

Cody had lots of friends and family come visit him during his 5 days in the hospital. He had many many more people praying for him!

Water Walk March 21, 2009 | Todd and Heidi volunteered for this Bridging the Gap event to help raise money for clean water in developing countries.

Todd, Heidi and Cody took a road trip to southern California so Cody could visit a friend from his Egypt trip. We drove down on a Friday and drove back on Saturday... lots of fun bonding car time!

Happy Easter! The day started out with an Easter Egg hunt at church, followed by lunch, egg hunts, and treasure hunts with the Bryan side of the family in Forest Ranch.

 Softball Season Starts!

 A' Hunting He Will Go...

Erik and Kim Hiller | May, 2009

It was so fun to reconnect with our college friends!

In May, 2009 Stephen Wolff passed away. We traveled down to Orange County to be with Michelle and Derek for the service, which was absolutely beautiful. We are so thankful we were able to be there for our brother and sister.

Stephen had season tickets to the Lakers... Row A, Seats 15 & 16. No one was using them the night of his memorial service, so Derek and Michelle gave them to us! First row, center court was a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget.
