We decided to name you Anthony after your Paw, Lorry Anthony, who passed away March 5, 2009, right before I found out I was pregnant. Your Paw was a wonderful man and he would have loved you very much. We believe that you and Paw were together in heaven and that you will always have a part of Paw in your heart and soul.

5: This is where | You will | Lay your head

7: AJ's Birth Story | On November 10 I went to the gym and went to work. I was nearing the end of my pregnancy, so I had a girls lunch at Albashia and I worked late. Your Daddy was spending the night in Lafayette for work. Looking backI realize that I was feeling funny all day. Around 8:00 PM I noticed that I had started bleeding. I called your Daddy and told him what was going on and then I decided to wait. A couple of hours passed, and I was still bleeding. I called my doctor's office. Dr. Cheree was not on call, when the on call doctor asked me how far apart my contractions were, I told him I didn't know. He told me that I'd know if I was having contractions I probably was not in labor, I was too calm to be in labor, not to worry about the blood and to time my contractions and go to the hospital when they are 5 minutes apart 2 minutes long. I asked him if I needed to call your Daddy and he said we had plenty of time. Luckily I called him and told him to come home anyway because I was nervous. Your daddy got home around midnight. I was up watching my contractions until around 3:30 AM, they never did get to 2 minutes long and they didn't hurt as bad as what you see on TV, but I was still bleeding so I woke up your daddy and said it was time to go to the hospital. When they checked me at the hospital, I was 7 cm dilated the nurses started to freak out and your daddy started to call the family. We didn't think that the family would make it to the hospital in time. They rushed me upstairs to a birthing suite and my nurse informed me that if I was planning to get an epidural, I better get it now...so I did. The epidural made me shaky and nauseous, but I felt no pain. The doctor said that if I would have waited much longer, you would have been born in the kitchen. Pops and Nanna were the first to arrive and Gramps and Grandmother got lost trying to get to the hospital, but got there in time. Your Nanny, Uncle Sid, Aunt Holly were there too. You were born at 11:25 AM on 11/11/09 in room 11 at Woman's Hospital. You were 6 lbs. 11 oz and 19.5 in and perfect. Your Daddy and I loved you immediately and were so excited to finally meet you.

14: We went home from the hospital on Mommy's birthday. It was the best birthday present. It was so funny when we got home, we didn't know what to do with you because there was no Tupperware on wheels like they had at the hospital. We finally put you in the swing and had lunch. We had a super fancy birthday/welcome home dinner of Papa John's, cheesy gordita crunches and White Russians. | We're Going Home
