He who can reach a child's heart can reach the worlds heart. ~ Rudyard Kipling ~
Our Letter to You -- Thank you for considering adoption! We know that by making this decision you only want what is best for your child ... and we respect your desire to find the right family to love and cherish your baby. It's very important to us that we provide you with a sense of comfort and peace, should you choose our home for your child. We can only imagine the difficult decision you have to make and our thoughts and prayers are with you. There's so much we'd like to tell you about ourselves to help you in your decision, but most of all we want you to know that we have more than enough love for your baby. We hope that after reading our book, you will consider us to provide a secure, loving and happy future for your baby. We understand what a loving sacrifice it is to create an adoption plan for your child and we'd be honored to be a part of your plan.
Our initial fertility tests proved to be inconclusive ... and we soon realized that our most joyful path to parenthood should come through adoption. We're so excited to share our values and the lessons we have learned with our children. Some of those values include the importance of a good education, working hard for what you have, learning to appreciate the simple things in life and treating others with kindness and respect. We are grateful for your time in considering us. We do hope that you would like to explore this relationship further and we would be thrilled with the opportunity of meeting you. Please know that our prayers are with you. We wish you well and hope that you find peace and confidence in the choice that you make for your child. Sincerely, Amy & Jeff
About Amy | I hope to re-create that magical time for my own family. I enjoy my job as a Program Manager at a travel company but I plan to work part-time after adopting. I love photography and music. I enjoy getting lost in a good book and love exploring new cities. But I most look forward to being a good mom. | I am the oldest of three girls and grew up in the Midwest where most of my family still resides. I grew up on a street full of neighborhood kids where summers were full of cookouts and days by the pool.
I am the youngest of four children in a loving and stable family. Although we are all spread out a little bit now, we all get together several times a year, often at the house where we all grew up and where my folks still live. I studied journalism in college, but soon after discovered graphic design and have yet to look back. | About Jeff | About 10 years ago I left my job and started a freelance graphic design business. I love the freedom & opportunities freelancing provides. I enjoy playing golf and softball ... and love traveling to explore new destinations, whether by car, air or rail. I am very excited to become a father and know that I have many gifts to share.
About Jeff by Amy | Jeff is the funniest person I know which is what attracted me to him from the very beginning. He brings such joy and light into our lives every day. He is an extremely hard-working and dedicated person but is also very playful and loves adventure. Watching him with his nieces and nephews makes me excited to see him as a dad. He has a very curious mind, is incredibly smart and very creative. I can't imagine my life without him and I am so thrilled to begin this part of our journey together.
About Amy by Jeff | In so many ways, Amy is the best version of what most people strive to be: honest, caring, compassionate, funny and a very good friend. She has a remarkable ability to be goofy when appropriate, serious when necessary and always remain true to who she is. She keeps our household organized and running smoothly ... and I look forward to seeing her hand off those (and so many other) important life skills to our children. Amy is very close to her family and I know she is so very excited to build a family of her own. I would never be able to travel down this path without her and I am so excited to see where it leads. With her by my side, everything is possible.
Amy's Family I am the oldest of three girls and my parents have been married for 44 years. All of us still live in the Midwest, which is a good thing, as everyone is over the moon to have a little niece or nephew/granddaughter or grandson nearby. We love holiday celebrations that include lots of laughter, good music and delicious food!

Jeff's Family My parents have been married 52 years and I am the youngest of four kids. Our entire group is pictured below at a casual 50th wedding anniversary cookout we had for them a couple of years ago, including my six nieces and two nephews. It seems like there are several events a year where we all get together, whether it be holidays or graduations or weddings. Everyone is so excited to welcome a new grandchild, niece/nephew & cousin! | Mom & Dad | The whole crew of parents, 3 siblings (& spouses) and 8 nieces and nephews

Our Wedding We were married in 2009 and it was a wonderful celebration with friends and family. The church where we married holds special memories for us as we first attended Christmas Eve candlelight services there when we were dating.
Our House Situated on a tree-lined street, we have a fenced yard and the neighborhood is full of children. It's a true neighborhood feel with lots of block parties, backyard BBQs and Father's Day camping trips. We love spending time outside gardening and enjoying the large front porch. Our street ends at a huge city park full of trees, playgrounds, fountains and walking paths.
Activities and Friends | Swimming with dolphins on our honeymoon | We love overnight camping trips and following our favorite teams on the road! | Amy and childhood friend Laurie | Friends Shelly and Julie with Amy after their half marathon run! | Our friends' daughter Kate
With friends Mary and Julie on a baseball road trip | Friend Warren and Jeff at the bobsled track | We enjoy biking on the trail by our house | Jeff and college friend Mike | Amy and friends after dinner | Amy and Nico | Will regularly beats Jeff at chess
Parenting & Discipline We both feel that a good parent provides a road map for how to live a productive and healthy life through the example of their own life. A good parent strikes a balance between love, guidance, affection, discipline and humor. Having both been raised in Christian households, we recognize the value and importance of a spiritual upbringing and plan to pass that on to our children. Above all, we recognize the importance of providing structure in a child's life, but feel it's equally important to create a home filled with lots of laughter and love.
Our Promise | We respect the careful consideration you are giving your decision and we know that you will make the best choices for yourself and your child. We wish you both the wisdom to make a decision that is best for you and your child and the support you need to carry you through this journey. We promise that we will always love your child unconditionally, and do everything we can to make sure he or she is healthy and happy.
We will be there for them in every aspect of life and promise to always encourage him or her to follow their dreams! We will teach them to be open, honest, and loving. They will always know your plan for adoption was based on your love and commitment to give them the best life possible. We would like to thank you for taking time to learn more about us. We cannot express enough the gratitude we have for you in considering us to raise your child. We look forward to meeting you if that is your desire. Amy & Jeff
