FC: My First Year Noelle Elizabeth May | Our Baby Girl
This book is dedicated to Noelle. Mommy and Daddy love you so much. You will always be our Baby Girl.
Life in the hospital | I was born on January 17, 2010, at 3:36am. I weighed 7 lbs, 13 oz, and was 21.3 inches long. | I love sleeping on my Mommy's chest
I spent some time under the bili-lights because I was yellow. Daddy asked, ''Who is Billy Rueben anyway?'' | Noonie was there when I was born. | I waited 9 months to see what my Mommy and Daddy looked like.!
My first week at home was hard work. I practiced eating, sleeping and crying. We were all tired, but everyone was so excited about me that it didn't matter. Noonie stayed an extra week because of a snow storm, and Daddy got 15 days off to spend with Mommy and me. | Week One | It took a long time to get home from the hospital because Daddy drove 30mph the entire way. He was worried about my safety.
In my crib for the 1st time | I slept in the Pack-n-Play beside my Mommy and Daddy for 2 weeks. After that, Daddy went back to work, so I slept in my nursery. The transition was much harder for Mommy and Daddy than it was for me. I was a good sleeper.
Aunt Nean came to visit me this week. She was pregnant with my cousin Joseph. She insisted on putting me in the baby sling. | Weeks Two & Three | During week two I got a bad case of baby acne... YUCK...but it went away after a few weeks.
I love my baby swing. During the day, I take my naps in the swing. It lulls me to sleep.
Weeks Three & Four | Nauna and Papa came to visit me when I was several weeks old. I could tell right away that they love babies. We had a great time. | It's hard to believe that I ate 7 times a day and slept a ton, but it's true. I was happy for about 10-15 minutes after eating, but would soon get a little cranky and need to nap again. Mommy was so thankful that I was such a good sleeper.
Aunt Eri and Uncle J bought me this bright outfit for Christmas. | My mommy loved me even when I cried. I felt better when she held me.
Month Two and Three | I went to Lubbock, TX for my Aunt Nean's baby shower. | I loved to smile and laugh. I also loved my activity gym, but I hated tummy time. I was sleeping 8 hours at night. | I helped my Daddy celebrate his 29th birthday with a bow on my head.
I was a very good traveler. I would sleep most of the time and rarely cried on long car trips. It was the best when someone sat in the back seat with me. | I spent my first Easter at Noonie and Grandpa Laddie's house. I met my great grandmother, Mom-Mom, for the first time.
Months Three - Five | At 3.5 months, I rolled from my front to my back for the first time. Anything to escape tummy time.!
I could sit up in the Bumbo, and in the corner of the couch. I loved to look around and coo, happy as could be. | I had a lot of visitors in the Spring. Noonie, Karen and Kathleen, and Melissa and Tim came to see me. More visitors meant more hugs and kisses for me.
I started eating solids at six months. Peas were my favorite. | Nauna and Papa came to visit. Did I mention that I liked pulling hair?
I made my first trip to Spokane when I was 5 months old. I attended a wedding and met my cousin Isaac for the first time. I also visited Whitworth, where my parents met. | Months Five & Six
Months 7 - 9 | In July, we traveled to Osage, MN to attend my great grandpa Lester's funeral. I met my great Grandmother, Gloria. I also met my new cousin, Joseph. At 7 months, I was sitting up on my own, preferred to sleep on my back, and had a bottom tooth. | I called my Daddy 'Dada' for the first time at 9 months. I also started crawling, and I really liked getting into cabinets.
For Halloween, I was a Tootsie Roll. I loved being tickled, especially by my Daddy. He made me laugh the hardest. | My family went to Eri and J's wedding in August. I was down to 3 naps a day, and loved reading books before each one.
At 10 months, I called my mommy 'Mama' for the first time. I pulled myself up to a standing position on furniture and in my crib, but sometimes I forgot how to sit back down. Mommy and Daddy had to help me. | I spent my first Christmas in Montrose. I enjoyed ripping the wrapping paper on Christmas morning, but I had to take a nap half way through opening presents. I was tired. | My first Christmas
 Months 10-12 | Baby Girl
My first Birthday | Sharing my cupcake with Daddy
My first birthday was so much fun. My Nauna and Papa came to visit me, and they gave me lots of attention. I said 'uh-oh' and 'doggy' for the first time. I almost ate an entire chocolate cupcake, and I got it all over my face. I wasn't scared when everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' and looked at me. Other guests included the Rogers, Wolgemuths, Barkers, Martins, and Annie.
