Baby Shower | On November 6, 2011, Gram O'Meara hosted a baby shower at the Power Boat Club. We had a wonderful afternoon with family friends, and Mommy and Daddy's Oakville friends. Gram put on a yummy spread of food. Our friends spoiled us with many lovely gifts, including a few items all the way from Ireland. Everyone was very excited to meet you in the coming months.
On November 27, 2011, Grandma Suzy and Grandma Jane held another celebration in Toronto at the Georgia Sherman Gallery. We had more family and friends celebrate your upcoming arrival. Your family from Michigan were so excited, they came all the way for the party.
Minutes old | On December 20, 2011 we welcomed you into the world. It was a matter of minutes before we named you Roisin. Your Daddy thought you looked like a Roisin, a name we came across years earlier from a book your Dad brought back from Ireland
This Christmas was very special. It would be your first Christmas, and we arrived home from the hospital just in time. We celebrated Christmas Eve at Gram O'Meara's and Christmas Day at our house. We had Gram O'Meara, Uncle Ryan, Auntie Erika, Cousin Fallyn, Grandma Suzy and GrandpoBob to share it with us. There were many adorable outfits and gifts given to you. Grandma gave you the picture in your room of the giraffes. This picture was taken by your Mommy when she went to Kenya.
 First Christmas
 First 2 Weeks
First Month | Your first month was an exciting adjustment for your parents. We had so much fun getting to know you, and learning how to do "Mommy and Daddy thing"s for you. We also spent many hours just admiring you. Within your first week we celebrated the holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve. It was a busy start! Your first outing was to Mapleview Mall on December 26th to walk around and check out the boxing day sales.
Second Month | During this month, you became very interactive by cooing, smiling and making small little giggles.
On Family Day weekend (February 17-20), we took our first trip down to the cottage. We had a nice relaxing time hanging around and hiking around the camp.
 Cottage Time
Third Month | This month included a few celebrations and parties, and the first time your Mommy and Daddy went out without you We found you really developed from a newborn to a baby. Grabbing for toys, smiling and cooing, you were very aware of your environment.
1st St Patrick's Day | On March 17th, we started our annual St Patrick's Day celebration by visiting Grandpa O'Meara, followed by meeting the gang at Slainte Irish Pub in Hamilton for a pint of Guinness. We then went to Uncle Ryan and Auntie Erika's house for our festive feast: corned beef, mashed potatoes and mushy peas. It was also the housewarming of their new home in Dundas, Ontario.
 1st Easter
 Forth Month
This month was when we finally heard our happy Roisin laugh. Oh we loved to entertain you to get a hearty giggle. You were also good at entertaining yourself by playing in your Exersaucer and lying on your play mat. We noticed you starting to shimmy yourself around in circles, but still not completely roll over. This was also the month we moved you from the basinette to your crib.
We had such beautiful weather early May, it was cute to see your chubby little legs. One thing you really seemed to enjoy was music and story books. We started a "Tickles and Tales" program, and you would dance and bounce along to the nursery songs. You would look avidly at the picture books while the librarian read aloud.
 Fifth Month
Sixth Month | This was another big month of firsts: sitting up on your own, mimicking some faces and noises, and a first airplane trip. You continued to enjoy your music class, and listening to music at home. Your favourites were: Row, Row, Row Your Boat, and You Are My Sunshine.
From May 25-28th we took our first family trip to Boston for Andrew and Maggie Keneally's wedding. This was your first time traveling on an airplane. You were an excellent traveler and we had a wonderful time. Gram O'Meara also came with us.
T R I P S | On July 20-23, you joined your Mommy and Daddy in Quebec City to celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time walking through (and up many hills) the historic city. You were such an excellent travel companion that your parents were able to enjoy some very delicious and fancy dinners. All the restaurant guests were very impressed with your manners.
Seventh Month | You started your first solids this month. It was a pretty hilarious watching you make all those funny faces to the different foods. Your favourite food was avocado. You also had your first experience swimming. From then on, you gladly accepted all your pool party invitations.
 Eighth Month
You became quite a singer. We would regularly hear a little ditty coming from your room when you woke up in the morning and after a nap. You also like making music by banging your blocks together, and clapping your hands. Another favourite thing was playing with Seamus. He would make you laugh!
Ninth Month | This was the month you became mobile. You went from slithering along, to pulling yourself up and scaling along the furniture. You were pretty determined to walk that you didn't seem all that interest in crawling. This was a busy month with: your first train ride to Montreal, cousin Fallyn's baptism, BBQ's and play dates, and our first visit to the CNE.
 Tenth Month
Although not walking just yet, you did pretty well walking with holding our hands. To get around on you own, you did a funny crab crawl/bum scoot. We had a fun Thanksgiving weekend at the cottage with the whole family. We went to Pumpkinville and Mommy took you on your first amusement ride.
11th Month | What an adventuresome month!! You were invited to a number of Halloween events and had not only one, but two costumes: a delicious strawberry and an adorable ladybug. We were also invited to a wedding in Naples, Florida. Another trip which you were an excellent traveler. And.... we have a walker!! Within two days of you standing without holding on to anything, and three days of taking a couple of steps at a time, you were officially a walker on November 14th.
 11th Month
Naples, Florida | From November 7-11th we traveled to sunny Naples, Florida to attend Jamie and Melissa McCullough's beach wedding. We had a great time walking along 5th Avenue window shopping, a boat cruise looking at the million dollar vacation homes, and playing on the beach. You got your first pair of patent leather shoes to match your cute wedding outfit.
 Furry Friends
As you approached your first birthday, you continued to amaze us with how quickly you will grow up. Not long ago do we remember learning how to put on diapers, and now you are shaking your head 'no' when you don't want to do things, following simple instructions, and trying to do things on your own. Roisin, our little toddler! And we love her so!
 12th Month
On December 15th, we held your first birthday celebration at Gram O'Meara's condo. We had a big party room with plenty of space for your little friends to dance and play with balloons. We had some very yummy food prepared by your Daddy, Grandma and Gram. Many of your Mommy and Daddy's friends were able to come, as well as some of our family. You were showered with many generous gifts. Some of your immediate favourites were: a sitting chair, mega blocks and puzzle.
