FC: Logan Daniel Yoder

1: November 11, 2008, I started with very mild contractions in the evening that I was convinced were not the real thing. It was 2 1/2 weeks early after all! Sure enough, in the middle of the night they steadily increased until I finally called the nurse at 5:00 AM to see if she thought we should come in since we had an hour to drive. We wandered around in Wal Mart for a while to make sure they were not going to stop-and they sure didn't! We arrived in Dothan, Alabama, and checked in by 8:30. I was 3 cm and in a lot of pain, so I finally convinced Keith to run and find the anesthesiologist; I was getting an epidural regardless of any previous statements on my part to the contrary! =) They also gave me an amazing drug that put me to sleep for several hours. And no, I didn't do anything strange or horrible while under the influence. Haha! Finally, around 3:00 PM they said "no more drugs if you want to have this baby today!" I was just trying to put it off as long as possible I guess. You got stuck for a while and your heart rate was dangerously high, so I was put on oxygen until you were born. When you were born, I expected you to be squished or weird looking like all the books warn about, but you were amazingly perfect and even Keith couldn't get over how adorable you were. We thank God for the gift of you, Logan. You were wonderfully made and I can't wait to see what plans God has for your life!
