S: Jack Markey First Time at the Aquarium as narrated to Mollie Knight Abdella (Mammie)
BC: To our dearest Jack-Jack, Another fabulous day with you, Jack...one of many! We were so excited to take you to the Aquarium for your 1st time! It was a perfect day...the only sad moment was when it came time to go home & you dug your little feet in because you did not want to leave. There really aren't words that explain how much we love you, how important you are to us, how you fill our hearts & bring us so much joy & laughter! We just can't get enough of you Jack-Jack and look forward to many, many more years of being amazed, in love & so proud of you! We are so blessed that your dad & mom are so cool about sharing you with us, so often. They are terrific parents! You are a very lucky boy. Talk about the circle of love, yours is full! XOXOX Mammie & Papa Abdella
FC: Jack Markey First Time at the Aquarium | January 8th, 2012 with Mammie & Papa | First Time at the Aquarium with Mammie & Papa
Big day for me...my 1st time at the Aquarium. I spent last night at Mammie & Papa's house. We got up the next morning, went to Lena's for breakfast (our favorite place) & headed to downtown Seattle, in the car. We were all so excited. Mommy stayed home because my baby brother Justin, was just too little to go. Besides, this was a big boy kind of trip! Keep the Faith, Nemo,I'll find you! | While Papa was parking the car, he asked me to keep an eye on Mam. I let her chase me around to get rid of some of her energy. All the sudden he came walking around the corner, I was so excited to see him that I just started running like a marathon man. He caught me. I love you Pop, good catch!
 Nemo, are you in here?
So, how cool is all of this? That big glass tank that I was looking in had that big old Octopus that you see above. That thing had tons of arms...or are they legs? Papa held me over the tide pools until I felt comfortable. I wanted to go in for a swim but they said it was for sea life only. I have already been to swim lessons. I am sure I could keep up with the fish!
There is just so much to look at under the sea. Now I understand why most of them don't want to come up for air! Its just so beautiful! The starfish come in many different sizes, shapes & colors. They are prickly on my fingers, too! The green sea urchins are like porcupines, they are kinda funny. That white thing over there is like a flower. In fact one of its nicknames is, Flower of the Sea. That kid next to me was scared to put his hand in the water. Oh well, hopefully he got brave & did it! Nemo is not here either.
Glad I got used to that Octopus because right around the corner was one waiting to give me a hug. Papa was holding me so I wasn't scared...at least not too much. Every window that I looked in, I saw fish everywhere. I was just looking for Nemo. Nemo, where are you? | Nemo...where are you? I don't see him in here Papa!. | Nope, you are not in here.
Oh my gosh, is that really a horse? Yep, its a seahorse! There was a whole ton of them. Below is a stingray. Mammie said to that old stingray, "Hey listen RAY, you leave my Jack-Jack alone or you might just get a Jack Attack!" He didn't bother me at all.
I love the sea life. All the colors are so pretty, like my mommy. When my baby brother gets bigger, I want to bring him here with my mommy & daddy. I will totally be able to show them the ropes. It is all so beautiful and peaceful in here. But I am not tired. Lets go! | Oh, by the way...these pretty things are called sea cucumbers. They grow on rocks and on the bottom of the sea floor. They will just about grow on anything in the salt water. However, this kind does not grow in your garden. Unless, of course its a sea garden. No Nemo in here! Nemo, Nemo!!
The whale fin that I am standing on over there, was soooo cool. I played on that thing for a long time. Mammie & Papa were laughing so hard at me. There was a little girl there that kept calling it a tail. Boy, does she ever have a lot to learn! Check out that big bunch of fish up there...now, that looks like somebodies dinner!. That banana looking fish is sort of weird looking. I loved the "nake"...but Mammie told me it is called an eel. I have been learning so much here today. I will be able to teach my baby brother Justin all kinds of stuff!
J E L L Y F I S H | And boy oh boy do I mean JELLYFISH! They are so cool, I loved watching them so much that we just hung out there for awhile. Mammie said they used to have them at her home at Roche Harbor. I think I want to go there and check them out! Isn't it cool how the lights in the tank make them different colors! Gotta find Nemo!
 Nemo...I found you!!!!
What a terrific day, so far. I found Nemo!!! But, it looks like somebody else was looking for him also. I am so happy that Nemo is back with his Daddy! I won't ever swim away from my Daddy. We practiced safety in swim class, Daddy & Mommy never let go of me I wanna do more swim classes so I can teach my brother, Justin. There is no place like home. Right, Nemo? Stick with your Dad. I don't want to have to come looking for you again!
This old guy is doing what he otter! Get it? Did you figure it out? This tank is full of otters. They are so fast! I can not believe how fast they glide through the water. Otters also like to spend time on land and they eat more than just fish & shellfish. Mammie told me that my Great Grampa Jack had otters under his house at Roche Harbor. They were so stinky cuz they poop all the time. GG-Jack would get mad because they would just help themselves to a swim in his pool. I think that would be so cool to see. Maybe Mom will let me get an otter to take my bathes with. Bingo, another great idea by me!
There is no end to what I am seeing at the Aquarium... here we are outside & there are birds everywhere. The mountains were beautiful. Running on the boards was so much fun & I like the smell of the salt air!!!
Mammie has a way of reading my thoughts. She asked me if I was hungry, and I was starving! Well, not really starving but hungry. We decided to walk down the pier to see the sights & find a place to eat. We saw a lot of cool stuff along the way. I love tires & we saw this big lift with big tires. Pop & I checked it out together. I was really happy about finding it & I didn't want to leave it so, Papa said we could come back after lunch.I wasn't too sure what I wanted to eat. Mammie always brings | "nacks" along when ever we go any where, so I decided to take my time to choose. They always leave the big decisions up to me. Geez, I'm just a little kid!
So, I found where I wanted to eat. Mammie ordered clams, Papa got fish + chips & I ordered chicken. When Mammies came, it looked so good that I took on off her plate & tried it. It was so delicious that I ate 1/2 of hers & none of mine. I guess I am a shellfish kind of guy! As Ivar says, "Keep Clam."
I was having so much fun. I did not want this day to be over. So, when Papa said it was time to go home I got mad & cried. I think I was kinda tired. I didn't cry for long because Papa did the, "How you do'in?" And made me laugh. That Pops...he is so crazy! He says I am a "goofball." I think its time he did some self examination!
Just so you know, Mammie isn't in any pictures because she is always the one behind the camera!
Papa gave me the bag when I was all buckled in. I had fun checking everything out on the ride home. That reminds me Mam, I still have a fishing game at your house that we haven't played!!! Thank you so much, I had a great time! Look out Mommy...here I come! | Back in the car, Papa strapped me in. Mammie called Mommy, she wanted me to come straight home because she missed me so much. Also, I am the man of the house right now cuz Dad is in San Antonio for football. Mom & Justin need me. I had a great time with Mammie & Papa. I love the Aquarium & I am so ready to take my parents & my brother there! I would also like to take Chasey there! I have lots to teach them! Mammie sneaked into the gift shop at the Aquarium & bought me some stuff to remember this day.
