1: This Cookbook is inspired by all of the talented cooks in our family.
2: Chicken Poppers | Nechi | Sautee onions and nugget size chicken cutlets. Add duck sauce salt and garlic and cook on low flame till tangy.
3: Mashy | Pastrami Capons | Spread capon with Dijonaise Place sliced pastrami on top Roll and close seam side down Sprinkle with garlic pwdr. and paprika Pour sweet and sour duck sauce over capons cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour
4: Pepper Chicken | Ruchy | 3 lb chicken bottoms w/o bones 3 - 4 onions 4 peppers diced (various colors) salt, pepper, garlic honey | cut chicken into small pieces and add spices...set aside... saute onions...add peppers and saute some more..when soft add chicken and cook till white. Add 4 - 5 T honey. cover pot for 10 minutes. Thicken with cornstarch if nec. serve with rice,farfel....
5: Dini | Hamburger Buns | 11/2 c water 3 tsp yeast 3 T sugar 3 T oil | 2 tsp salt 4 1/2 c flour | mix...shape.....let rise for a little...bake at 350 for 20 min. yields 10 -12 rolls
6: Suri | Dip cutlets into italian dressing then Flour and fry! | Chicken / Veal Scallopini | saute onion in olive oil Add: 1 lb fresh mushrooms till soft Add: 1/2 c Chicken Broth 1/2 c white wine parsley | Also works well with breaded cutlets! | pour over cutlets and bake for 1/2 hour

8: Pia | Last Minute Spare Ribs | 2 lb spare ribs 1/4 C soy sauce 1/4 C orange juice 1/4 C ketchup 1/4 C honey 1 tsp garlic powder | Pour completely over meat cover tightly bake for 2 hrs on 300
9: Pepper steak | Saute onions and garlic add mushrooms, peppers, zucchini. Add meat: saute till brown... Add 1 can tomato sauce salt, pepper and little sugar. Serve over rice! | Malky
10: Cream of Chicken Soup 12 T oil 16 T flour make a paste with both slowly add 10-11 cups chicken soup a little salt 1 T garlic powder add: celery and carrots and 1 whole chicken cutlets cut into little pieces cook 45 min. to 1 and 1/2 | Mashy
11: Quick and easy Mushroom soup (3 minutes) | Nechi | 2 big size cans portobello mushrooms 2 bags bodek diced onions 1 cup milk 4 T flour or more 2 T onion soup mix 2 T salt garlic powder and pepper water to cover mix well and put on flame...stir every so often
12: Heat oil and sautee 1 onion 3 - 4 zucchinis unpeeled and sliced. 1 carrot 4 sprigs of parsley Add: 3 T flour 2 T consomme 6 - 7 cups of water salt and pepper Boil for 11/2 hours....Blend | Zucchini Soup | Suri
13: Vegetable Soup | Dini | saute onion with 1/2 a red pepper cubed and 2-3 garlic cubes. Add: 4 carrots 3 -4 stalks celery 1 potato 2 squash 1 parsnip | cubed | cover with water add 1 package kemach minestroni soup mix salt and pepper....cook 2 hours
14: Potato Soup | Ruchy | 3 onions diced 11/2 bags carrots 4 white potatoes 3 sweet potatoes 3 stalks celery 1 green pepper 3 zucchinis - optional | using a 6 -8 qt pot saute onions.shred carrots and add to onions. saute. Fill pot 3/4 with water and Add cubed potatoes.Add celery an pepper. (whole - for flavor) Add 11/2 T salt 11/2 T sugar pepper. May add sliced Zucchinis tward end. cook for 11/2 - 2 hours on low med flame.
15: Cauliflower Soup | Malky G. | 5 onions 2 cloves garlic 5 small potatoes 5 medium squash 3 carrots salt | saute onions and garlic. Remove half. Cut veggies into chunks and add to onions. Add enough water to cover. Add salt. Simmer for 1/2 hour or until veggies are soft. Blend...Saute cauliflower with other part of onions...Add to blended soup
16: Mushroom Barley Soup | Malky | lightly saute 1 onion add: 1 box mushrooms 3-4 carrots sliced 3 celery stalks sliced stir and saute till tender. Add: 2 T flour till thick add 6 c water 1/2 c barley pepper and paprika 2 tsp saltd t Bring to a boil and then simmer on low flame | May add chunks of meat!!
17: Whole Wheat Rolls | Nechy | 41/2 c ww flour 1/2 c oatmeal 1/2 c oatbran 1/2 c wheat germ 2 oz yeast / 2 T dry 2 c warm water 1/3 c honey 1 T salt 1/2 oil | Bake about 15 - 20 min | you may substitute for 11/2 c regular flour.

19: Dairy ceasar salad | Suri | 1 bag romaine lettuce 1 red onion cherry tomatoes croutons | Dressing 2 1/2 slices muenster cheese blended 3 T cottage cheese 1/4 c vinegar 2/3 c oil 1 clove garlic 2 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt Blend | YUM!

22: pOPPY sEED SALAD | sURI | 1 ROMAINE 1 avocado cherry tomatoes red onion slivered almonds | Dressing 1 c oil 1/3 c apple cider vinegar 1/2 c sugar 1 tsp salt 1 t dry mustard 1 t poppy seeds

24: Babaganush | Ruchy | 3 eggplants 5 -6 cloves garlic 3 T mayo 1/2 - 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar | cut slits along sides of eggplant. Broil for 20 minutes on each side. scrape out eggplant from peel and blend.Add rest of ingredients and blend some more
25: Salmon Salad | Dressing Blend: 1/4 c mustard 1/4 c oil 1/8 vinegar 3 T sugar 5 dill cubes | Romaine lettuce avocado sliced cucumbers purple onion | Bake salmon (1 slice for 3 people) cubed or flaked. | Malky
26: Side dishes | 1 grahm cracker pie shell 1 butternut squash- peeled cooked and mashed 1/4 C oil 1/2 light brown sugar 1/4 C white or whole wheat flour 2 eggs 1/4 C soy milk Pinch of salt Mix all together,( if mixture is to thick add some more soy milk), pour into pie shell sprinkle top with cinnamon and vanilla sugar top with pecans (optional) Bake 350 for 45 minutes. 27: Pumpkin Muffins | Suri | 16 oz pure pumpkin 2 C sugar 4 eggs 1 C oil 2 C flour 1 t vanilla 2 t baking powder 2 t baking soda 1 1/2 t cinnamon | Topping: 1 C grape nuts cereal 3/4 c brown sugar 1 C flour 3/4 C oil | Side dishes

29: Malky G. | Overnight Potato Kugel | 10 potatoes 1 lg onion 7 eggs 3 tsp salt 3/4 c hot watter 3/4 c hot oil pepper, garlic mix well... | Bake 40 minutes at 500 Bake 40 minutes at 400 cover tightly and bake 250 overnight
30: Side Dishes | String Beans | Suri | Boil string beans for 7 minutes saute 1 bunch scallions 1 red pepper in 2 T oil | 2 tsp fresh garlic 3/4 c cashews 1/3 c honey 3 T soy sauce 3 tsp flour / corn starch
31: Side dishes | Mommy's Yerushalmi Kugel | 2 bags thin noodles cooked and drained in a pot cook up 1 c sugar 1 c oil until brown. Add to noodles. Add 1 T salt and 11/2 Tsp pepper and 2 T sugar. Taste. Bake covered for an hour.
32: Side Dishes | Grilled vegetables | Suri | 2 lg squash cubed 1 box cherry tomatoes 3 colored peppers cut up 1 can baby corn cut up place on single layer on cookie sheet | Dressing: 1 T brown sugar 1 T vinegar 1/2 tsp salt pepper dash of cinnamon 3 T oil 1 tsp basil | Mix dressing and pour over vegetables. Bake at 350 for 1/2 an hour!
33: Zucchini Tomato Fans | Side Dishes | Malky | 4 long narrow plum tomatoes 4 small firm zucchinis 4 large cloves garlic peeled 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp each of basil,0regano, thyme and dash of rosmarie 2 T virgin olive oil | cut tomatoes lenghthwise into 4 make slits in zucchini starting at flat end. Place tomato between each slit and clove of garlic on each side. Brush e with lwith olive oil and sprinkle with spice mixture.r Bake @400 for 1/2 hou
34: Dairy | Pizza dough | Suri | 1 package dry yeast 1 t sugar 1 c warm water 2 1/2 c flour 1 1/2 T oil 1 t salt | Dissolve yeast in water with sugar. add rest ingred and knead well. Cover and let rise 5 - 10 minutes. Roll out on baking sheet....add sauce and cheese Bake at 475 for 10 - 15 minutes.
35: Eggplant Parmigan | Ruchy | Step 1 2 - 3 eggplants peeled and thinly sliced dip into flour..egg...cornflake crumbs. bake 20 - 30 minutes on oiled cookie sheet | Step 2 saute 5 onions 2 16 oz mushrooms Add: 3 cans 15 oz tomato sauce garlic powder 6 -8 T sugar Taste: ( can use gefen classic marinara pasta sauce) | Layer in 9 by 13: eggplant sauce shredded mozzarella cheese
36: Chocolate cheese muffins | Dairy | Chocolate batter 3 c flour 2 c sugar 1/2 c cocoa 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 2 c milk 2/3 c oil 2 tsp vanilla extract | Cheese Filling 16 oz unwhipped cream cheese 2/3 c sugar 2 eggs 1 c mini choco chips
37: Preheat oven to 350. Combine dry ingredients. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix all together until smooth. Spray muffin pans with a generous coating of cooking spray; this will enable to muffins to be released easily, once done. Pour 2-3 T of batter into each muffin cup. Whatever size the muffin tin fill it 2/3. Mix the cream cheese with the sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, and keep mixing. Once the consistency is smooth, mix in the chocolate chips by hand. Place one T of cheese filling in the center each partially filled muffin tin. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow muffins to cool before removing them from the pan. note: Disposable muffin pans are the perfect size and work well.

39: Mommy's Cheese Blintzes | Dairy | Crepes 4 eggs 3 T oil 1 T sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp vanilla Beat with fork and add 1 C water Add: 21/2 c flour..mix till smooth and thick. Then add another 11/2 cups water slowly till liquidy | 2 1 lb farmer cheese 1 egg 11/2 T vanilla dash of salt 5 T sugar | Fill... Roll... Enjoy! optional frying
40: Peanut Butter Pie | Crust 2 T sugar 1/4 tsp vanilla 4 T margarine 1/2 c flour 1/2 c peanut butter 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 c brown sugar 1 - 2 eggs | mix in mixer and bake at 350 for 10 minutes | 2 c confect sugar 8 oz toffuti cream cheese 3/4 c plus 2 T PB 3 T whip cream not whipped on side beat 2 egg whites and fold together FREEZE | Mashy
41: Vanilla ice with crunchy peanut butter chunks | Pia | Whip up a 16 oz dessert topping, add: 3 eggs 1 ts vanilla ext 1/2 C sugar | Crunch: 1 bag choc chips melted add: 1/3 C chunky peanut butter 1 1/2 C corn flake Mix together, when it hardens crush and add to ice cream
42: Cinnamon Buns | Pia | 1/4 c water 2 Tb yeast 3/4 c sugar | Dilute yeast with 1/2 warm water, sprinkle sugar on top- let site 20 min until yeast activates | Add rest of water 1/2 c oil 2 st margarine 2 c coffe whitener 2eggs plus 2 yolks 8 c flour Mix and then let rise an hour | Roll out dough sprinkle cinn+sugar then roll up jelly roll style- cut about 1/2 inch slice Bake @ 350
43: Razzle ice cream pie | Nechy | 1 container vanilla ice cream defrosted. | Add: 1/4 c rice krispies 1/4 c nuts 1/4 c peanut butter Any other toppings you wish... mix and pour into pie crust
44: Oatmeal Squares | suri | 2 c oats 1 c flour 1/2 c sugar 1/2 c brown sugar 1/2 c oil 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 vanilla 1 egg | bag choco chips | mix and pat down in small square pan. bake at 350 for 1/2 hour. | Really good!
45: Triple layer ice cream pie | Ruchy | Choco layer 1 lg whip 1 c soy milk 1 instant vanilla pudding 1/2 c cocoa 3/4 c confection sugar | peanut butter layer 1 lg whip 1 c soy milk 1 instant vanilla pudding 1 c peanut butter 1 c mini choco chips | Vanilla layer 1 lg whip 1 c soy milk 1 instant vanilla pudding | Crumbs 1 pkg sandwhich cookies 2 -4 sticks viennese crunch crumble into small fine pieces | Directions starting with crumbs layer loaf pans freezing in between layers. Top with remaining crumbs.
46: Cheese Cake | Suri | 1 8 oz cream ceese 1 8 oz sour cream 1 lb farmer cheese 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 vanilla 2 T corn starch dissolved in 1 C milk | blend all together... put in two pie crusts and bake abt 40 minutes. | Never Fail!
47: Fish | Sweet 'n Sour Salmon | 4 -6 slices salmon fillet 1 big onion 1 c sugar 3 c water 1/4 c lemon juice 1/4 c vinegar dash of salt slice onions... let sugar melt on top of onions. Add rest of ingredients...Boil.. cook for 45 on medium flame. | Malky G
48: Breaded Salmon Skewers with Grilled Vegetables | Fish | Mashy | Marinade: 4 T. honey 4 T mustard 1/2 c oil 2 T fresh lemon juice | Cut salmon fillets into app. 1 inch chunks. Combine mustard, honey, olive oil and fresh lemon juece into bowl and mix. Reserve half to use later. Place Pieces of salmon into remaining marinade and mix to coat all sides. Cover well. Refrigerate half an hour or overnight. preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll each piece of salmon in corn flake crumbs and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool. Before serveng, place 2 to 3 pieces of salmon onto toothpicks or a wooden skewer by piercing each piece in the center. | 4 salmon fillets, thinly sliced(no skin) 1 C. seasoned corn flake crumbs
49: Preheat oven to broil. Meanwhile, prepare grilled veg. thinly slice the red oniion into round discs and the peppers into round slices. Place onions and pepper rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Broil for 12 minutes or until starting to blacken. To serve, pile the onion and peppers into a small pile in the center of the plate and prop a salmon skewer up against it.
