S: Our Favorite Family & Friend Recipes

1: This Cookbook is inspired by all of the talented cooks in the family.

2: Aunt Jo Jo's Quiche | Ingredients: 1pd ground pork sausage, 1tsp mustard powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 4 eggs beaten, 2 cups milk, 6 slices white bread, toasted and cut into cubes, 8oz. mild cheddar cheese shredded. Directions: in a medium bowl, mix together mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk. Addthe sausage, bread cubes, and cheese, and stir to coat evenly. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight. Preheat oven 350 degrees F Cover and bake 45 60 minutes. Uncover and reduce temperature to 325 degrees F Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until set.

5: Name | Chicken Marsala Ingredients: 1 oz Clarified butter or oil to fry 1 double breast of chicken 2 oz flour for dusting 2 oz sliced button, shitake or portobello mushrooms 2 pieced of scallion, diced 4 oz sweet marsala wine 1 tsp beef base 2 oz of heavy 1/2 tsp minced garlic 1 minced shallot Directions: Add oil to hot pan, sauté chicken. Remove chicken, add Marsala. When flame disappears add mushrooms, scallions, garlic and shallot. Sauté until mushrooms are tender. Add beef base, simmer. Add Cream and simmer. Whisk in butter and add chicken. Simmer and serve.

14: 25 fresh jalapeño peppers 14-16 ounces cream cheese 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 2 (16 ounces) package bacon Cut stems off of peppers and cut them all in half longways Remove seeds from peppers Fill each pepper with cream cheese and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each pepper half. Place on baking sheets and place in 450 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon is fully cooked. Remove and serve when coled. Enjoy! | Paula's Grilled Bacon Jalapeño wraps

23: Vincent's Friend Rice 6 Cups of instant rice cooked 1 stick butter 1 onion, chopped 4 eggs pork, chicken or beef (your choice, optional) 1/4 cup soy sauce (GF) Sauté onions in 1/2 stick butter until just turning light brown on edges. Remove pan from heat. Beat eggs with a dash of milk, salt and petter. Return onions to burner and move onions to the side of the pan. Add egg mix and cook until done (break into small pieces as they are cooking). Stir eggs and onions together in pan, then move to side. Add cooked rice, 1/2 stick butter, salt and pepper (to taste) to egg & onion mixture. Stir cook (covered) on med for 25 minutes or so. Add 1/4 cup soy sauce and cook (uncovered) for additional 10 min.

25: Monkey Bread byNicolas | Ingredients: Ingredients: 24 ounces frozen dinner roll dough (Rhodes) 1 C packed brown sugar 1 (.4 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix C white sugar 2 Tsp ground cinnamon C chopped walnuts C melted butter Directions: 1.The night or several hours before, grease and flour a 9 or 10 inch tube pan. Mix brown sugar and pudding mix together. Mix white sugar and cinnamon together. Place frozen dinner rolls in pan a layer at a time. Sprinkle brown sugar and pudding mix over first layer of rolls. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mixture over the brown sugar and pudding mixture. Spread half the nuts and melted butter over first layer. Repeat with the next layer 2. Place on counter over night. Do not cover. Next morning bake in preheated 350 degree F oven for 30 mins. Let stand a few minutes and turn pan over onto serving platter. 3.Glazed optional 1 C powdered sugar 4.1tsp Vanilla .1 Tbsp. Milk (may need more to drizzle)

26: Aunt Shannon's Buck Eye Balls | 1 1/2 C Creamy peanut butter 1/2 C Butter, softened 1 tsp vanilla extract 4 C sifted confectioners sugar 6 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips 2 tbs shortening Line a baking sheet with waxed paper, set aside In a medium bowl, mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and confectioners sugar with hands to form a smooth stiff dough. Shape into balls using 2 teaspoons of dough for each ball. Place on prepared pan, and refrigerate. Melt shortening and chocolate together in a metal bowl over a pan of lightly simmering water. Stir occasionally until smooth, and remove from heat. Remove balls from refrigerator. Insert a wooden tooth pick into a ball, and dip into melted chocolate. Return to wax paper, chocolate side down, and remove tooth pick. Repeat with remaining balls. Refrigerate for 30 mins.
