10: Each page is separated by parts of the book, trying to get the main points across. In page one, I focused on the beginning of the book. We are introduced to the main character who narrates the story. The pictures chosen represent Henry. Being a ambulance driver in the Italian war against Germany. Catherine gets introduced in the..
11: beginning. Just as this gorgeous nurse that captures the attention of Henry. Due to Henry's knee injury he gets sent to the hospital in Milan and gets to see Catherine. Then in the second page, the love progresses between Catherine and Henry. They spent a summer together in Milan, happy as can be. This is where Catherine announces that she is 3 months pregnant. Then I mention all about Henry being ill with jaundice and the super intendant "kicks him out" in a sense. He is forced to go back to the war front. He then escapes by swimming a far distant in a river, then hopping on the next train. Which is why I included pictures of each. I showed where they were located and where Henry and Catherine decided to move to. My last page, covers the main event of part five of this novel. Living a happy life, but unfortunately, when the baby was due to be born. They both passed away, leaving Henry alone with no one in the cold rain. After reading this novel, some characteristics that were seen in The Great Gatsby, were also mentioned throughout A Farewell To Arms. Alcohol played a part in both novels, and played apart in the over 1920's era. Love plays a big factor in both novels as well. Jay Gatsby was in love with Daisy, and Henry was in love with Catherine. Even thought Henry and Catherine ended up together. Both Gatsby and Henry ended up all alone. Gatsby dead, without the love of his life, and Henry dead inside due to the fact his wife and baby had passed away
