FC: A Journey of Genres 2011 | A Reading and Technology Program led by Christine Hebert and Julie Byers
For many years, Old Dominion University has offered a Reading and Technology Summer Program as part of its community outreach efforts. This year, we created a wiki to document our reading adventures. We hiked through genres including mythology, legends, fairy tales, and fantasy. We combined great literature, storytelling, technology, and field trips; all of which supported our exploration of genres.
Many of the books chosen for this summer were packed with adventure, beautiful settings, and interesting characters. Trips were planned to connect to these books. Our first trip was to the ROPES course at William and Mary. This trip included problem solving and teamwork.
Communicating as a team was key to the success of this challenge. | Friends Forever
 Trust and teamwork pays off.
