2: A | ACL Music Festival ACL music festival is a three day long, eight stage event that's in Austin at Zilker Park it has at least 130 bands, food and drinks, art and more. Lots of people gather a round to hear the amazing bands and the great food and art.

4: C | Hill Country Bands Hill Country Bands is like ACL festival there are lots of bands that are rock, hip hop, metal, country, swing, blues, and folk music. They also have that comes form all over food. It goes on all night and it's during the summer. It's located in Austin, Texas.

5: D | Demi Lovato Demi Lovato was born August 20, 1992 in Dallas, Tx. She is a solo artest and does rock or hip hop. She is best friends with Selena Gomez and they did a movie together the princess protection program. She has many hit songs like forget and lala land.

6: E | Emos The Emos is a band and there lead singer was born in Dallas, Texas but then moved to New York. In NY he met all of the band members the bass guitar, lead guitar, and drums. They didn't get their first gig until it was 1 year. After that they became a big hit and was heard all around.

7: F | Fredericks Burg food and wine fest The Fredericks Burg festival is held downtown Fredericksburg, Tx. on Marktplatz. It's a full-course celebration of Texas food, wine,music, specialty booths, food court, and fun for all people to in joy.

8: G | Selena Gomez Selena was born July 22, 1992 at Grand Prairie, Texas. She is a solo artist and she does rock, hip hop, and pop. When she first started out she was on Barney and friends, she played Gianna in 2001 where she discovered her talent. One of her trade marks is her big smile. She in joys cheerleading, surfing, and skateboarding.

9: H | Hills cafe Charlie Goodnight invented the Hills cafe. The Hills cafe is a coffee shop and also lets bands perform there it didn't mater what kind of music it was as long as it was good. It was just a cafe for 54 years and then Boomer Goodnight carried a torch to Austin radio personality and community leader Bob Cole and which created some music in the cafe.

10: I | Empire state of mind Empire state of mind is a song sung by Jay-z. This song mentions Texas in it. It was inspired by when he was on his singing trip and past by towns.

11: J | Johnny Gimble and Texas swing The world has changed a great deal since 1938. That was the year fiddle and mandolin player Johnny Gimble, at age 13, first appeared with his brothers on radio station KGBK in their hometown of Tyler, Texas. In the intervening decades, Gimble has lived one of the most remarkable careers in modern music. Although he's best known as a former member of Bob Wills' Texas Playboys, the 75-year-old Gimble has played and recorded with some of the most important musical figures of the 20th century.

12: K | Kerrulle folk festival The Kerrville Folk Festival is a music festival held for 18 consecutive days in the late spring/early summer at Quiet Valley Ranch near Kerrville, Texas. The event has run on a yearly basis since 1972. In November 2008, the Kerrville Folk Festival and Kerrville Wine & Music Festival were acquired by the Texas Folk Music Foundation, a 501( Texas Non-profit Corporation.

13: L | Los Lonely Boys Los Lonely Boys is a rock band from San Angelo, Texas. They play a style of music they call "Texican Rock n' Roll," combining elements of rock and roll, blues, soul, country, and Tejano. The band consists of three brothers: Henry (guitar, vocals), Jojo (bass, vocals), and Ringo (drums, vocals) Garza.[1] They follow the tradition of their father, Ringo Garza, Sr., who formed a band with his brothers called the Falcones. The Falcones played conjunto music in southern Texas during the 1970s and 1980s. To date, Los Lonely Boys have released three studio albums and a live album, all on the Epic Records label.

15: N | NOISA is a four-night event that celebrates San Antonio's diverse cultural heritage with 15 ethnic areas that serve fabulous foods in over 250 food booths and provides entertainment to over 85,000 revelers. NIOSA will occur from 5:30pm to 10:30pm nightly during the city's 10-day Fiesta celebration. 16: O | The Whole World Theatre is an improvisational comedy theater located in Atlanta, Georgia. Whole World Theatre (WWT) is a non-profit theatre company that began in Atlanta, Georgia in late 1993, when a dedicated and talented core of actors, led by Founding Artistic Director David Webster, united to form the hottest improv company in town. The founding members of Whole World Theatre performed their first show in front of 25 people in September 1994. Specializing in experiential improv and unconventional scripted works, and using a unique approach to improv, which put more emphasis on acting, character and atmosphere than on cheap laughs, the cast created original ground breaking pieces such as, Blood Bath Bingo and Pimps, Queens, and Dope Fiends. Scripted works included, Balm in Gillead, Bitches, Women Behind Bars, Four Dogs and a Bone and The House of Yes, among many others. | One World Theater

17: P | Twice a year, twenty-four blocks of 6th Street, downtown Austin’s Entertainment District (Brazos to I-35) are transformed into the annual Pecan Street Festival. With more than 300 juried artists and original artisans, three stages of live music, a wide variety of ethnic and regional food, children’s workshops and more, the Pecan Street Festival has been a family tradition for thirty-three years. Festival-goers enjoy magicians, jugglers, comedians, dancers, international cuisine, carnival rides and thousands of beautiful people. 18: Q | Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (April 16, 1971 – March 31, 1995), known simply as Selena, was a Mexican American singer-songwriter. She was named the "top Latin artist of the '90s" and "Best selling Latin artist of the decade" by Billboard, for her fourteen top-ten singles in the Top Latin Songs chart, including seven number-one hits.[2] The singer also had the most successful singles of 1994 and 1995, "Amor Prohibido" and "No Me Queda Más".[3] She was called "The Queen of Tejano music"[4] and the Mexican equivalent of Madonna.[5] Selena released her first album, Selena y Los Dinos, at the age of twelve. She won Female Vocalist of The Year at the 1987 Tejano Music Awards and landed a recording contract with EMI a few years later. Her fame grew throughout the early 1990s, especially in Spanish-speaking countries. Selena was murdered at the age of 23 by Yolanda Saldívar, the president of her fan club. 19: R | Robert Earl Robert Ian Earl is the founder of the Planet Hollywood chain of fast-food restaurants and an Everton F.C. director. On October 20 2006 Earl the sandwich king bought shares in Everton from major shareholders Paul and Anita Gregg, they resigned from the board following the sale. The deal was brokered by Philip Green. Earl underwrote bank loans to help sign players and extend existing borrowings at Everton. He indicated that he has no intention of taking over the club. It's an endorsement of Bill Kenwright, an endorsement of David Moyes - it is not a takeover. Anything that helps the economic model, and in turn gives David a better pool of talent, is something we want to do. His most high profile involvement with the club has been inviting his friend and business partner Sylvester Stallone to Goodison Park.

21: T | In 1903 the song The eyes of Texas was written by John Sinclair. The lyrics are said to be intended to poke fun at University President Colonel Prather. Prather had attended Washington College, now Washington and Lee University, whose president, Robert E. Lee, would frequently tell his students, "the eyes of the South are upon you." Prather was known for including in his speeches a similar admonition, "The Eyes of Texas are Upon You," meaning that the state of Texas was watching and expecting the students to go out and do great things. Prather enjoyed the song and promoted its usage. He died not long thereafter, and the song was played at his funeral. After this, the song achieved its complete dignity and meaning. | The eyes of Texas

22: U | In 1902, UT student Lewis Johnson played tuba for the Varsity Band, directed the University Chorus, and was the manager for just about every musical performance on campus. Johnson contacted alumni known to have literary talent, hoping one would volunteer to write a UT song, but received only polite refusals. Johnson turned to his fellow student, a band member John Sinclair, he resisted at first, but Johnson continued to ask. Then they created the UT band cause Johnson never gave up. | UT Band

24: W | Willie Nelson Willie Hugh Nelson was born April 30, 1933 in Abbott, Texas. He is an American country singer-songwriter, author, poet, actor, and activist. Nelson was one of the main figures of the Outlaw Movement, a subgenre of Country music that developed between the end of 1960s and early 1980s. Nelson one of the most recognized artists in country music. Nelson started studying music from mail order material that his grandparents gave him. He wrote his first song at age seven and joined his first band at nine. During high school, he toured locally with the Bohemian Fiddlers as their lead singer and guitar player. After graduating from high school in 1950, he joined the Air Force.

Hosted by Asleep at the Wheel's Ray Benson, the evening's musical lineup includes just a few of the artists from Gimble's past, including Guy Clark, Tracy Nelson, Connie Smith, the Hot Club of Cowtown, and Floyd Tillman. The original love song has become associated with the legend of how a slave named Emily Morgan helped win the battle of San Jacinto, the decisive battle in the Texas Revolution. The Center for American History at the University of Texas has an unpublished early handwritten version of the song, perhaps dating from the time of the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836.[1][2] The author is unknown; the earliest published version, by Firth, Pond and Company of New York and dated September 2, 1858, identifies the composer and arranger as "J.K."; its lyrics are "almost identical" to those in the handwritten manuscript, though it states it had been arranged and composed for the vaudeville performer Charles H. 27: Z | ZZ Top is an American rock band, sometimes referred to as "That Little Ol' Band from Texas".[1][2] Their style, which is rooted in blues-based boogie rock,[1][3] has come to incorporate elements of arena,[4] Southern, and boogie rock.[3] The band is from Houston, Texas, formed in 1969. Musician Billy Gibbons and drummer Dan Mitchell, originally in a band called the Moving Sidewalks, got together with bassist Lanier Greig, forming ZZ Top. In 1969, Greig and Mitchell were replaced by Dusty Hill and Frank Beard from the band American Blues. The band soon began developing a following in Texas. | ZZ Top
