2: The whole reason Egypt developed was for survival: The Nile provided water, and when the raining season came the Nile flooded and gave good crops. Good crops were able to grow in this "black soil" because it was fertile.

3: - Craftsmen made all the pottery and clothes. - Farmers made the crops. - Slaves would be found in temple and the priests and pharaohs homes | The social classes of Ancient Egypt: The top of the Social Pyramid is the pharaoh the ruler of Egypt. Following were... - the vizier, no official documents were sealed with out his OK. - Nobles made local laws. - Priests only preached to the gods, not the people. - Scribes were the only readers and writers - Soldiers kept the area safe.

4: The pharaoh was the ruler of Egypt they were believed to be a god. They were treated with respect. They made sure the area wasn't invaded and made the gods happy. One of the most popular pharaohs of Egypt was Cleopatra: She was ruler during the Rome war.... but her Husband was killed so Cleopatra let herself get bitten by cobras.

5: Nobles were in charge of their own region and made the local laws

6: Priests didn't preach to people. They preached to Gods, to make them happy

7: Scribes were the only people who could read or right, It was considered an honor to be in school. Scribes would write the hieroglyphics

8: Soldiers weren't in the best class... but they kept the area safe from enemies.

9: Craftsmen made the pottery, jewelery, and clothing

10: Farmers had the biggest use for the Nile river. Their crops depended on it and the raining season for the water and good soil.

11: Slaves would usually be found in pharaohs, priests homes or in temples

12: The Nile was one of the main resources in Ancient Egypt... it provided water and during flood season it would flood and make the soil fertile. It also provided transportation, they would travel with canoe's.

13: Mud bricks were used to make houses and pyramids. The bricks were made out of baked mud.

14: The government was theocracy: Even when Akhenaton told them to put aside the old gods and worship only one. It was also Monarchy.

15: King Tutankhamen was the youngest pharaoh in Egypt and also ruled for a short time before he was murdered.

16: The first pyramid ever built was the pyramid of Djoser
