2: Ancient Mesopotamia was what some people still call it the cradle of civilization. Mesopotamia was the beginning to a lot of great invention's like the wheel and irrigation and a lot more things that they invented, but ill get to that later in the book.
4: Mesopotamia was the first country to invent many things like the first first written language , the wheel , irrigation and many other things. Irrigation is like when you plant crops and make little tunnel under the ground and run water in to them.
5: Below this caption is a slight sneak at a couple of slate's that were found on an expedition in Mesopotamia it was found in one of the tombs of a king
6: The wheel is a circle shape that turns on an engines power but Mesopotamia didn't have engines so when they found out that donkeys or horses could pull a cart or chariot behind it so they can get places faster. The first written language was very rough language compared to ours, we have an abc chart that we learned in first grade.
9: Mesopotamia's government was a monarchy and democracy, it started out being kind of a democracy but when Sargon of Akkadia became the first leader of a civilization the first set of laws began.
10: The three classes of Mesopotamia were the upper class ,priest, nobles and kings, the lower class slaves, peasants and farmers | the main job of the lower class was just mainly just to clean, cook, farm, and just to do things that would probably not be very important things
12: The upper classes job was not exactly a job but they went to party's and were called to do good things, they went to banquets and had a nice place to sleep they just had over all good things then the lower class.
15: Mesopotamia religion was polytheism; a belief in many gods,Judaism: a belief in the god who created the whole world.A lot of the people believed in polytheism. But some people were Jews and believed in the god who created the whole world. It wasn't against Hammurabi's code but some people would criticized people because they believed Judaism.
16: monarchy: A state ruled or headed by a monarch. Irrigation: it waters fields underground or above ground upper class: The highest socioeconomic class in a society. lower class: The socioeconomic class or classes of lower than middle rank in a society. government: The act or process of governing
17: polytheism: a belief in, or worship of, many god Theocracy: A government ruled by or subject to religious authority Democracy: Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives. A political or social unit that has such a government. The common people, considered as the primary source of political power. Majority rule. The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community.
