1: Somatochlora incurvata | The dragonfly is anout 2 inches long, with metallic markings along its fact and body. There are about 9 other types of emerald dragonflies in the Michigan-Wisconsin area.

3: Range and Niche: Ontario, Nova Scotia, Maine, Pennsylvania, upper Michigan, Wisconsin. Wisconsin: eastern Jackson, western Adams counties. Spring-fed bogs, poor fens, and heaths. Midges; insectivorous birds and larger dragonflies.
