2: -The Qin dynasty was the first-Chinese dynasty 207-221. -The Han dynasty 200-200 B.C. -The Age of Division 200-600 A.D. -The Tang Dynasty 600-900 A.D. -The Song dynasty 960-1276. -The Ming dynasty 1368-1644. Many different things were invented in China that are known around the world like the Great Wall of China.

4: It all started with the Qin Dynasty in 207. He ruled for fifteen years 207-221. Qin was the first man to rule all of China. He was a dictator, if you defied him you would be killed or sent to work on the Great Wall. To make sure everyone did their job Qin made a spy system. He made a system for weight, measurement, money, language, law code and laws no one would disagree with him. Peasants were assigned to be farmers or silk makers. He killed scholars and destroyed books that were not about medicine, agriculture or prophecy in other words useless books were burned. Qin did not think he was cruel. People died in the great wall but it served as a advantage in war. Once he died his son did not rule for long.

6: Han Dynasty started in 200 B.C. and ended in 200 B.C. this was not the golden age of China but it was very good because of the demand for Chinese Silk. The Han Dynasty tried very hard to replace the books that were destroyed during to Qin dynasty. They created new music and literature, scroll painting began. They invented many useful things. One of the emperors around 100 A.D. agreed with Confucius that the key to good government was good education. Jobs were given to educated people as well as nobles. Although outsiders call it China after Chin times the Chinese call them selves Han people.

8: The Age of Division was from 200 A.D. to 600 A.D. The age of division was between the Han dynasty and the Tang dynasty. Different emperors ruled different part of China and they did not always get along wars were common. Gunpowder was invented also was tea.If you were a peasant then you were very poor if you were a noble then you were very rich.

10: The Tang Dynasty started around 600 A.D. and ended around 900 A.D. Around 600 A.D. the Tang Dynasty pulled China together again. China was in the golden age. You did not have to be a noble to have a high position you had to pass government exams. People came from India and Korea to learn dancing and singing in China. At that time only boys could go to school. Buddhism began in India via the Silk Road. Confucianism and Taoism were very strong. The people were farmers even though they were in the Golden age.

12: The Song Dynasty began in 960-1276 Chinese opera began so did the art of paper cutting. So many things were created that time was know as the time of Invention. Marco polo was invented so was Rainbow Bridge.

14: The Ming Dynasty started in 1368-1644 A.D. The Ming Dynasty was the time of adventure and travel. The mariners mapped the world. They also brought back the folding fan which soon became popular.

16: Glossary Dictator: leader Democracy:a government by the people Republic: not under the rule of a monarch Monarchy:a form of government which one person is inherits a throne is head of state for life. Oligarchy:a type of government which is held by few people. Theocracy:a type of government where a God is recognized is a supreme ruler.
