26: Dear Christi, In my opinion beauty is how amazing someone is on the inside and out. What I've learned is that there can be some very messed up ideas on what beauty is. People will go through so much to change themselves because they want to meet society's expectations. The media can have a very negative influence on what people think they have to be to be beautiful. I must say that even though I am much more aware of issues having to do with the perception of beauty, my opinion has not changed much. This has, however, served as a good reminder that I need to accept myself the way I am.
27: I still think that everyone is beautiful in one way or another. Yes, some people are more beautiful than others, but if anyone would ask me if I thought that they were beautiful I would immediately answer yes. I would love to spread a culture that feels the same way. I don't know if I can make a huge impact, but maybe if I stop to tell someone how beautiful I think they are every once in a while I can make a difference. I guess that the only way to know is to try it and see!
