25: Pearl: "Pearl felt she was sinking in at the center, like someone given a stomach punch. Yet part of her experienced an alert form of interest, as if this were happening in a story." She was very nurturing to everyone around her. | Ezra: Ezra wasn't as distraught about Becks leaving because he was closer to Pearl. Although, He grew up and decided he would be a good, honorable man by owning his restaurant and marrying
