4: To find the cost of a 5 inch sandwich press 2nd then graph. This shows you all the values of y for each value of x. Scroll down to 5 under the x column. 5: The most reliable way to find the value of x for a specific value of y is to first press y=. Then under Y2 input the specific value of y. Next press 2nd then trace and select intersect. Once the graph picture loads completely, press ENTER 3 times. The x value you're looking for will be at the bottom right of the screen. | For this problem you would input 6 under Y2 ind y=. After following the other steps the x value you should find is 10 inches.
6: The cost- intercept is the cost of the materials it takes to make the product. Materials in this instance would be bread, meat, etc. In this case the cost intercept is $1.80, because that is the lowest point in the parabola.
