BC: You have just created some 3 dimensional geometric figures. Can you decorate the items using ribbon, coloring pencils, stickers, or markers?
FC: Making Geometry Figures
1: These are some of the items needed to make the figures.
3: To make the cube, first trace the cube onto the construction paper. Then, cut the cube out. And, fold and tape the construction paper to form the cube.
4: To make the dodecahedron, trace, cut, fold, and tape the construction paper in order to complete the geometric figure.
5: How many sides does a dodecahedron have?
6: The cube you created is like a rubics cube. And, the dodecahedron figure has sides similar to the shape of a soccer ball.
8: There are two more figures that you can create including the octahedron (on left) and the tetrahedron (on right in left pictrure). So, there are four geometric figures that can make. Can you make the last two figures? Also, can you find an object at home to photograph or bring to class that is like the octahedron or the tetrahedron?
