Healing | 1. (v. t.) To make hale, sound, or whole; to cure of a disease, wound, or other derangement; to restore to soundness or health. 2. (v. t.) To remove or subdue; to cause to pass away; to cure; -- said of a disease or a wound. 3. (v. t.) To restore to original purity or integrity. 4. (v. t.) To reconcile, as a breach or difference; to make whole; to free from guilt; as, to heal dissensions. 5. (v. i.) To grow sound; to return to a sound state; as, the limb heals, or the wound heals; -- sometimes with up or over; as, it will heal up, or over. | MATTHEW 4:23 And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.
MATTHEW 8:1-4 1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. 2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. | CONFESSION: | Jesus is willing to cleanse me of all disease and sickness just with one touch; therefore, I receive by the hand of Jesus my cleansing healing NOW and will tell of the healing that I have received this day to everyone I come in contact with as a testimony of His healing power that is the same yesterday, today and forever.
BLIND: LAME: LEPER: DEAF: DEAD: | In the Bible, what does it mean to be...... | Blindness denotes ignorance as to spiritual things (Isaiah 6:10; 42:18, 19; Matthew 15:14; Ephesians 4:18). The opening of the eyes of the blind is peculiar to the Messiah (Isaiah 29:18). Elymas was smitten with blindness at Paul's word (Acts 13:11).
MATTHEW 11:4-5 4And Jesus replied to them, Go and report to John what you hear and see: 5The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed (by healing) and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up and the poor have good news (the Gospel) preached to them.
43And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years [m]and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone, 44Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased. 45And Jesus said, Who is it who touched Me? When all were denying it, Peter [n]and those who were with him said, Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side! 46But Jesus said, Someone did touch Me; for I perceived that [healing] power has gone forth from Me. 47And when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came up trembling, and, falling down before Him, she declared in the presence of all the people for what reason she had touched Him and how she had been instantly cured. 48And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) [o]into peace ([p]untroubled, undisturbed well-being). | LUKE 8:43-48
 Being Made Whole
1THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. 2He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.(A) 3He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake. 4Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. 6Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. | Psalm 23
To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. | Isaiah 61:3
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. | Jeremiah 29:11 | In Him we also were made [God's] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will, | Ephesians 1:11
