1: He was a Senior Pastor at the Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem, in New York. Also stayed the Senior Pastor there for 37 years.
2: Wyatt Tee Walker helped Martin Luther King Jr further push the Civil Rights movement,he was one of the founders of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
3: He was sent to jail when he joined the protest of a Freedom Riders bus ride. he was released two years later.
4: He was a director at the SCLC board and stage director for the Congress of Racial Equality. | With the SCLC and CORE groups, Walker caused a huge success in a sit in process in a public library and a march on Richmond.
5: Even through horrible police attacks, Civil Rights activist led by Wyatt triumphed over the odds to gain their rights.
6: Wyatt Tee and Martin Luther both based all their ideas around the constitution and the idea of every person, man and women, black or white, to be equal.
7: Wyatt was Martin Luther King's primary director for all the marches the protesters developed.
8: To this day, Wyatt Tee still preaches and is an active Civil rights activist.
9: Wyatt Tee Walker wrote seven books, and his most famous one yet is, | Somebody's Calling My Name: Black Music and Social Change
10: Wyatt received many medals and awards for all his courageous work. His most prestige honor was the inductance into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame.
