2: The Allies became involved in WWII either because they had already been attacked or directly threatened with invasion by the axis powers, or they were concerned the Axis powers would come to rule the world. | side note ; the U.S did not join their own League of Nations. | Allied Nations

5: The two main powers referred to as the Rome-Berlin axis was Germany and Italy. They were later joined by japan through a military alliance. however, a number of other, smaller nations joined them through other pacts.
6: In Paris 1919, the leaders of the victorious countries met to discuss the peace settlement. The were dominated by 'The big Three.' (Germany was not invited to this peace conference.) The treaty of Versailles made at this meeting blamed Germany for the war and made them responsible for the reparations. Germany agreed to : 1.New map of Europe 2. League of Nations 3. Limit the size of Military 4. Blame for war and reparations to damaged countries 5. Give up empire The treaty went strong for awhile . However, Hitler violated the treaty. Germany began to build an air force and had internal interference with the affairs in Austria. In the 1930s, Germany stopped paying reparations to all nations.

8: Non-Aggression Pact
9: Hitler, fearing another two front war like WWI, conducted the Non-Aggression Pact. This pact made both Germany and Russia neutral between one another and they both shared the land of occupied Poland. This concealed the true incentive of Hitler, who used this pact to ensure his conquest of Russia and give the country's occupants a false sense of security. He later broke the pact and attacked Russia in Operation Barbarossa. | ROAD TO WAR !
10: WAR EUROPE | in | Great Britain and France declared war on Germany, September 3, 1939, because Germany invaded Poland September 1. Great Britain and France had a treaty with Poland that stated that if any nation invaded any of the three treaty nations, it was the same as invading all three nations. So when Germany invaded Poland, it was as if Germany had invaded Great Britain and France, also.
