"Where I'm from" | My place of origin, where I am from goes back in time, to when I was one, I lived in a house, in Northern Tennessee Just my mom, dad and little me, at that time I had no clue, where I was, and who was who, But my time spent there, was special to me In my house, in Northern Tennessee.
"Self Respect" | People look at others, with judging stares, they don't look at their personality, but at the clothes that they wear, How they walk How they talk How they style their hair, How they look How much power they have But they are fools if they neglect to see the individual's personality. Although we are defined by those mentioned above Self respect is the door, and the key is self love To know that inside you are you, and I, me. And to be able to look in the mirror and know i am beautiful, And that what they see is not all there is to you, I may not have money, stature, power, or looks, But I have something unique about me. That is my individuality!
My Mother's Kitchen | "sizzle", it is 6 O'clock, Saturday morning mom in the kitchen, and dad is still snoring My sister walks in, and discards a dead bug, then goes back upstairs to catch some more sleep my dog walks around, then lays on the rug. It is now 7 O'clock, morning is waking from its sleep The oven is on, baking chocolate chip cookies, while the stove is flaming, cooking beef jerkies, along with some green eggs and ham, and out on the table is peanut butter and jam. It is now 8 O'clock, and the sun is mid-rising.
The plates, and bowls are all neatly stacked, the spoons in the drawer, the plates on the rack, Mother gets to work, placing the food, The table is set, *ding* the bread is toasted The eggs are prepared, and the ham is well roasted, It is now eight thirty, The kitchen is dirty It is now 9 O'clock, The dishes are done, the kitchen is clean, mother leaves the kitchen, no mess is seen, she wakes up father, and calls down for breakfast, then goes upstairs, to rest.
Language Arts | Its 1' O'clock it is time to go, To Mrs.Glenn's classroom, room five point nine o I'm eager to learn about literature, Play review games, read stories, and listen to the teacher. Last week, we read Beowulf, and Lord of the Flies, I still see the words when I close my eyes. Today I heard we are starting poetry, Like "Fire, and Ice", "sympathy", Robert Frost's, "The Road Not Taken" And Edgar Allan Poe's "The raven" I get all excited thinking of this, OH NO it is 3 O'clock, time to dismiss.
