I am from Kristi and Todd, Loving and caring. I am from get your elbows off the table and stop irritating your sister. I am from ham and turkey, From dressing and macaroni. I am from the check on my basketball shoes, From the square on the backboard and swoosh from the net. I am from LSU,

From purple and gold. I am from crawfish and jumbo. I am from camping, From tents and sleeping bags. I am from my backyard, From trampoline and dogs. I am from Greenacres, From the home of the mustangs. I am from Louisiana, From football and cajuns

I understand that there are tragedies in life I say that there is a God I dream of the future I try to never give up I hope to be undefeated in softball I am funny and athletic

 Mysteries of Mardi Gras

One day Olivia was getting her Mardi Gras clothes on. From purple, green, and gold to masks and beads

She was at the parade and there was a problem. The parade wasn't starting. Olivia went to the host in fury. But when she got there his spirit had been taken by the voodoo priest.

Olivia looked everywhere for the voodoo priest and the host's spirit. She finally found them on a float

 My Dog Brutus

My dog Brutus is so stupid He has no aim, unlike cupid He is small, and he is brown But sometimes he acts like a clown. He runs into walls, But he loves chasing after tennis balls

My dog Brutus loves attention If he were in school he would get detention Brutus has pointy ears If he bites you you'll fall down in tears Brutus loves eating food If you think of it, he's a cool dude

My dog Brutus is so hyper, And he fell in love with my friend's dog Piper Brutus is really funny But it is bad when he chases a bunny

 Haiku Poems

Heaven Sterling streets of Gold High above all people on Earth God placed on the throne | Hell Burning in hot fire The Devil and his demons Boiling up the sin

 Fox Response

This poem made me feel really connected to animals. This poem really doesn't really make me see things in a different way.. I like hearing about the hunters in the poem. Just knowing that the poem is about foxes makes me see foxes. I was surprised the most that someone actually helped the foxes.

 Ode to Softball

Ode to softball Ode to the bats and the balls Ode to the pitcher, The one who pitches for us to hit Ode to the batters, The ones who make it to where we can field | Ode to the coaches, the ones who teach us how to play Ode to bases, the things we look forward to standing on Ode to the diamond, the place where we play | Ode to softball, The best sport on Earth

 Buddy

There once was a dog named Buddy He got hurt and was bloody He loves eating bones But he hates stones Buddy the playful dog

 Part 2

Analyzing " Trees" by: Joyce Kilmer

I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the sweet earth's flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.

T P C A S T T | Nature | The poem is about trees looking up to God | Personification: A tree whose hungry mouth is prest | The attitude is very calm | There isn't a shift. | It really is about trees | The theme of the poem is trees worshiping

Analyzing "Just to Say" by: William C. Williams

I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox and which you were probably saving for breakfast | Forgive me they were delicious so sweet and so cold

T P C A S T T | Someone telling someone something. | It is about someone telling somebody that he ate his food. | There isn't any connotation | The attitude is controlled. | It went from being sorry about it, to glad they ate it | Telling someone what they did. | Telling the truth

 Part 3

"Boots of Spanish Leather" | This poem makes me feel good . The poem is easy to understand and it doesn't make me see anything in a different way . I like when the poem says "I'd forsake them all for your sweet kiss." That makes me feel like he really loves her. The one thing that surprises me is that he would trade her for a pair of boots.

"The Road Not Taken" | This poem makes me feel questionable . The poem makes me look at paths in a different way because it makes me ask myself if i am doing the right thing . I like every single part of the poem . The part that surprises me the most is that he or she takes the wrong path .

"Mother to Son" | This poem makes me feel connected with my mom . It makes me see life as a set of stairs . I don't like all the misuse of words in the poem . The words " Crystal stairs" makes me see life as a set of stairs. Nothing really surprises me in this poem .

"Because I Could Not Stop for Death" | This poem makes me feel confused . It makes me imagine driving to stop in front of your death . I dislike most of the poem . None of the poem makes me picture anything . Nothing really surprises me .

" The Purple Cow " | This poem makes me feel happy . It makes me see cows in a different way . I just love the whole poem . "Purple cow" makes me imagine it the best in my head . There is nothing surprising in the poem .
