4: Family First: One of the core values that has always been instilled in my life is to put family first. I learned early on that no matter what, your family will always be there for you. Having this value in my life has helped my become closer to my immediate family, as well as my extended. Because I have had a close knit family, it has been much easier to get through the tough times we are put through. By creating a sense of unity amongst my family I have been able to grow as a person. | Give Back and Donate: Another core value in my life is to give back to the community and those less fortunate. I've learned that the best way to show my appreciation for everything I have is to "pay it forward". It has always been important to me to help out others who need money and aid more than I do and that is why i chose this picture. These first graders are amongst the poorest in Wisconsin and yet they go to school everyday smiling because they are able to go to school. By helping out around their school I have been able to not only help them but also grow as a person.

Each year we take a trip to a tropical location in order to help us relax and forget about our busy lives. Having this norm in my life has helped me realize the importance of taking time for yourself and forgetting everything else.
