1: They lived in huts made of animal hides and wood. They lived close to each other. | Housing | The Paleo Indians lived from 28,000 B.C. to 5,000 B.C. They did not stay in one place for long. Instead, they used portable housing so they could follow the animals they hunted.
2: These PETROGLYPH ARTIFACTS belong to the Paleos. Also, the bones were found by ARCHAELOGISTS.
4: The BERINGA was a stretch of land connecting present- day Alaska to Russia. It sank below sea level so we can't walk across it anymore. | The Paleos traveled on foot. Some believe they rode on the backs of mammoths, but this has not been proven.
5: When the Paleos came across the BERINGA, known today as the BEARING STRAIGHT, their migration was close to 1,000 miles. | Some people think that a spirit had told the Paleos to come across the land bridge,but this is only a theory.
7: The Paleos had few weapons other than spears, scrapers,and arrows.These crude tools were made from stone or bone. These tools were used for hunting and work.
