Language Arts From thrill of reading a book To the pictures I want to look From the reading of the epic stories To the stories that make me worry From the interesting choice of words To the imaginary chirp of the bird There will be new things to know And new ways to grow I know when I come to Ms. Glenn’s class It will be as clear as a pane of glass That language arts is the subject we are learning And the need to learn is yearning. I know language arts is here When everyone lets out a cheer.
Self Respect Sometimes I try, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I work, sometimes I won’t. Depending on how much sleep I get, I might even nap. It really just depends on how I feel at the end of the day. I’m not (the average) student at school. And I ain’t extremely proactive. But I learned a lot can be done if I put effort into something Because I am smart. I’m not the smartest person in the world. My worth is not determined by the things that I say. No matter what I do at the end of the day, I will always be lazy.
My Mom’s Kitchen The source behind all goods and treats The only reason I want to eat The thing I look forward to at the end of the day Oh, how much more I could say The oven is the source for the baked goods a many For these goods are as common as a penny Of all the goods the best is the pie Without her pie I would much rather die Her kitchen also produces some amazing greens These delicious greens aim at keeping me lean From salads, to asparagus, to the tiny little trees One could not keep healthy without lots of these At the core of her meals are her delicious meats This is one of the things that no one can beat My sister will comes into the kitchen to complain For the animals are dead, and the meat is all that remains The smell of food tells me that dinner is near The food that is being severed is now clear I run down stairs to get my share I now, no longer have to bear The urge to eat the contents of my mom’s kitchen
Ode to GSMST Our diverse establishment of science, technology, and math Going to this school barley gives us time to take a bath The work load at this school is very rigorous We have to have an approach that is very vigorous The math at our school is not for fools It’s especially hard, if you don’t use the right tools From calculus, to trig, to number theory The math here will make you dreary The science at our school is big on our platter From advanced chemistry to basics, like matter The science here will make you wail After that you will surely fail. The technology here is what sets us apart It really shows how we can be smart The smart boards are slick, and the laptops are smooth Without technology we would surely loose our grove We are GSMST!!!
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the tother, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy ans wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by And that has made all the difference.
