Popular culture tends to develop subcultures e.g. punks, mods and rockers. Post modern = Were a popular culture has been pushed to far and then results in not beeing popular or entertaining any more. Popular culture is within our society for example who has not seen an episode of simpsons most people have this is because it is part of a popular culture TV another example would be the film titanic millions of people have seen this film across the world

1: Popular Culture Popular culture refers to persuits and products used by a large ammount of people
2: 1970's and 1980's In the 1970's and 1980's there were alot of subcultures that came from the popular culture music rebelling against capitalism e.g. Mods, Rockers, Punks, there were different but at the end of the day they were all rebelling against the same thing and by looking different they showed that they did not want to fit in to normal society. But in the 90's and 80's these subcultures were normal just like today we have emo's and chavs.
