FC: By Catherine Salinas | Ode to Poseidon
Poseidon/Neptune, God of the sea, | and even god of the horses is he.
After killing his father so horribly, the 3 brothers then divided the world into 3. A sea of troubles it caused, (metaphorically)
Jupiter took to the sky, Neptune the sea, Pluto the underworld so dark and creepy.
Born with great powers, and as big as a titan, It was easy for even Poseidon to frighten.
Although never using his powers for bad, his temper always appeared he was mad.
And when he was angered you would right away know, with the angry sea licking up at your bow
With a CRASH and a SMASH his anger sank a ship, and a BOOM spelled out doom as the earthquakes hit.
One day he saw the water nymph Amphitrite, Waving from the island of Naxos politely.
It was love at first sight, and he asked her to marry him later one night.
At first she refused, but Poseidon could not lose.
So he sent out his servant a dolphin, | who found her with hardly a flip of the fin.
She changed her mind for the last time,
and then came the kids all in good time.
