1: During the novel many settings were taken place. The settings that occurred were not normal places that kids usually go to, they were pretty rough places and taught Esperanza (the main Character) alot about life.
2: One area that took place in the novel is her house. Her house is the main area where she spent most of her time. That is where she met a bunch of people, and they taught her valuable lessons in life in order to be a strong person.
3: Another setting in the novel was in the city. In the city she was hit on, stared at, and got a job there too. Many men would hit on her and try to take advantage of her in the city. When she went to go apply for her first job at the social security office, she got it.These settings to me set the mood and what my reaction t the story will be.
