1: Thank you | Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand. | When asked Samantha said, "I love you Mrs. Churnside & you are the best teacher ever!" Thank you for allowing me and "my camera" to be such a large part of Samantha and Drew's 1st grade year at Santiago! Years we will never forget. | The Plums would like to thank you for all your effort, encouragement and support through the school year. Kalia loved room 31 and said she wouldn't want to be in any other classroom.

10: My favorite memory of first grade is the first day of school because I got to meet new friends. I will always remember that Mrs. Churnside was nice. I am looking forward to going to Mrs. Churnside's 1st grade Peter Pan play. I bet they are going to be really good. ~Kalia Plum

14: My favorite memory of first grade was the Peter Pan cast party at the park. I will always remember Mrs. Churnside at the Open House show. I am looking forward to more field trips in the second grade. ~ James Wong
15: My favorite memory of first grade has been reading books on the carpet. I will always remember Mrs. Churnside showing us stuff on the e.l.m.o. machine. I am looking forward to being in one of the plays in 2nd grade. ~Sophia Cadwell

18: I will never forget the great stories Mrs. Churnside read to us like "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" and "The Mouse and the Motorcycle. I will never forget how nice and patient Mrs. Churnside was, especially during the Peter Pan play! She sees the best in me. In the 2nd grade, I'm looking forward to doing dinosaur reports. ~Pablo Andersen
19: My favorite memory of 1st grade will always be the Peter Pan play and the play practice. I will always remember doing art projects with Mrs. Churnside. In the 2nd grade, I am looking forward to doing plays for the 1st grade. ~Avery Stovner

25: Never try and teach a pig to sing... it wastes your time and annoys the pig.
