Thank you | Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand. | When asked Samantha said, "I love you Mrs. Churnside & you are the best teacher ever!" Thank you for allowing me and "my camera" to be such a large part of Samantha and Drew's 1st grade year at Santiago! Years we will never forget. | The Plums would like to thank you for all your effort, encouragement and support through the school year. Kalia loved room 31 and said she wouldn't want to be in any other classroom.

What we want is to see the child in pursuit of knowledge, and not knowledge in pursuit of the child. ~George Bernard Shaw

Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world. Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression. All the world is a laboratory to the inquiring mind. The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be ignited.

They may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel. - Carol Buchner

 HARVEST FEST

The joy of brightening others lives... | ...can begin with a simple song.

To learn and never be filled, is wisdom; to teach and never be weary, is love. | A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
