S: Women in the Civil War
FC: The Women of the Civil War StephanieJohnson
3: Most women were affected by the Civil war in some way. Some leaped into the war effort working for various organizations, and others performed activities on a more personal level, such as sewing individual items to be shipped to soldiers they knew or were close to. Many others continued their home-front while their husbands were away. So essentially, they played an important role in the war effort.
5: I believe women had quite an impact on the Civil War because they not only continued the jobs at home by themselves, but they also sewed clothing for all as many soldiers as they possibly could. Because of their big hearts they kept them clothed in less distress.
7: Many soldiers benefited from the women during the war. If it weren't for their clothing, and blankets, etc. the soldiers would lack hugely in their comfort, and it's already hard enough to maintain during the time of hardship.
9: If women wouldn't have been there during the war, who knows what could have happened? The soldiers wouldn't have good clothing or have nursing. Many more would have died without their help.
11: Life would be different in the Civil war without the help of these loving women. They became nurses to help out the ill, and shot, and made them clothing and blankets, sent them supplies, they were great.
13: Women are still around today, of course. They are a healthy part of our society. Women have more say then they did back during th Civil war, and they also have more purpose.
