S: Seasons of Change
FC: of change | The Tale Of Two Daughters Alexis Zozaya 7/16/2011
A Year in Review | Table of Contents I. Interphase II. First Growth (G1) III. Synthesis IV. Second Growth (G2) V. Mitosis VI - IX. The Phases of Mitosis X. Cytokinesis
fling | Interphase | Stages of Interphase: 1. First Growth (G1) 2. Synthesis 3. Second Growth (G2) | Interphase can last between 18 and 20 hours.
First Growth (G1) | In the first growth, or G1, phase of interphase, the cell grows rapidly and carries out routine functions.
Spring is Here | Synthesis | In synthesis, the DNA is replicated. Each chromosome is made of 2 chromatids and a centromere.
Second Growth (G2) | In the second growth or G2 phase, the nucleus prepares to divide. The chromatin also condenses into chromosomes.
is in the air... | Mitosis | 1. Prophase 2. Metaphase 3. Anaphase 4. Telophase
Prophase | In prophase, the chromosomes become visible, the nuclear membrane dissolves and the spindle fiber forms.
Metaphase | In metaphase, the chromosomes line up in the center of the cell.
"I hope you always have a shell in your pocket...and sand in your shoes." | Anaphase | In anaphase, the centromeres divide. The chromosomes move to opposite poles.
Telophase | In telophase, a nuclear envelope forms, the chromosomes uncoil, and the spindle fiber dissolves.
Cytokinesis | In cytokinesis, the cytoplasm divides by creating a cleavage furrow. Two identical daughter cells are formed.
Playing in the leaves! | The more you laugh, the longer you live.
These Are The Moments I Live For
 Warm & Cozy
wonderland | Dashing Through the Snow
Home is where there's someone to love, and someone to love us.
