FC: Wayside Theatre | 2010-2011

1: This book is for my students who inspire me with their enthusiasm for life and theater. This is so you can always look back and remember...the good times, the wonderful times and the AWESOME performances that you gave while at Wayside. Theatre was an outlet and a refuge for many of you. My hope for you is that you learned some life lessons while putting yourself on display to the world. Thank you for being courageous and bold enough to stand on a stage and say, "I can do this." And thank you for pouring your heart into productions that were magical and transcending. You guys are AMAZING, and I love each of you. Truly Yours, --Mr. Daniell

8: Our selection for UIL One Act Play competition this year was Victoria at 18. Grace Mullins did an outstanding job of portraying the young Princess and then Queen Victoria. She was supported by an outstanding cast and crew. I was especially proud of this troupe for their hard work and the excellent jobs they did on stage. We decided to go with British accents throughout the performance, and they performed them beautifully. For her role Grace received the Best Actress award for the competition, and the play took 3rd Place overall. | Victoria at 18

13: "Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. | Belle and Baker | "It's no wonder that her name means beauty; her looks have got no parallel." | Belle and Bookseller | Some of the best stories begin with words like these. A timeless and beautiful story of exclusion and acceptance that takes us back to a more simple and provincial time but with themes that transcend time and place, a true love story. I have to tell you all how very proud I am of this production and the performance each of you gave. You worked so very well together and really brought the story to life for your audience. | Gaston on the prowl followed by the Silly Girls and Lefou
