S: Titanic Lifeboat #7

FC: Titanic Lifeboat 7 | By: Kennedy Garmon and Kaylee Totten

1: LIfeboat 7 was the first lifeboat to depart from the Titanic. It was tied together with lifeboat 5. Lifeboat 7 was able to hold sixty- five people but only left with twenty-eight.

2: The Titanic set sail on April 10, 1912. On the night of April 14, 1912 it hit an iceberg and sunk two hours and forty minutes later, which ended up being April 15,1912.

3: Dorothy Gibson was born on May 17, 1889 in Hoboken, New Jersey. Her parents were John A. Brown and Pauline Boesen. Her father died when she was three years old and her mother married John Leonard Gibson. Between 1906 and 1911, she appeared on stage as a singer and dancer in a number of theaters and vaudeville productions. She was the most important being on Broadway in Charles Frohman's musical The Dairymaids (1907). She was also a regular chorus member in shows produced by the Shubert Brothers at the Hippodrome Theatre.

6: On lifeboat 7 there was no second or third class passengers aboard. Just first class and three crew members that had to be shared with lifeboat five. The following graph shows the ages of the people on the lifeboat.
