2: I Liked this article because i thought the MoonKAM was nice and helpful. This camera will allow students to learn about the moon from actual pictures and experience, rather than pictures in a textbook and descriptions. This will not only catch a students attention but give them a better understanding and a bigger chance of remembering what they learned. | This Current event is important because it will explain how terrestial planets came about and formed. There is camera attached to the GRAIL. This camera has been dedicated to teachers and students to follow the mission. Teachers can sign up their students to follow this MoonKAM which will allow students to study the moon and explore regions of the moon in detail. | September 10, 2011 "NASA Launches Moon Research Mission - CNN.com." 3: NASA Launches moon Reasearch Mission | This Current event is important because there is many questions that havent been answered about the moon. These questions will finally have been answered. This research mission was sent because they are trying to understand how the moon became and its growth over the past. | NASA Launches GRAIL which is sent to the moon to explore the structure of the lunar interior, starting from the crust to the core. This research mission was sent to expand the understanding of moon. There is 2 GRAIL A & GRAIL B which will eventually seperate.

5: Some People might look at this and think we have no business going into something like this, because of our economy and risking our troops lives. It was clearly stated in the article that war isn't a possibility, because they are only going into to help with strategy and technology. | The LRA aka The "Lords Resistance Army" is a group of 250-400 people, who are responsible for the abduction and murder of thousands in Africa. Obama signed a Northern Uganda Recovery Act on 5/25/11, that is sending 100 troops over to stop the LRA. | Personally I think this is the right thing to do. These children have and are being ignored and the Uganda troops cant resolve it alone, so we need to come in and take a part. I dont think this will result in war, since were only bringing technology, and strategy because they need our help.

6: Occupy Wall Street | Many People are protesting in New York about Wall Street. These protests are spreading throughout the country, For example to D.C. This protest is called Occupy D.C. These protests are happening because of anger towards financial community's success during the bad economy. | December 10. 2011

7: This current event is important because the people who are struggling during this recession are noticing that some people are doing well. The families with a lower income don't think this is fair and think something should be done about it. | I believe that something should be done about the higher class families with taxes. Because it isnt fair for families with a lower income coming in to pay the same amount of taxes as someone with a higher income.

8: Iran Wont Return U.S. Drone | The United States sent a drone out to Afghanistan and it went missing. Iran got the drone into their hands and will not return it to the U.S. because of invasion of privacy. 9: This Current event is important because Iran has a possession of the U.S. Iran could use this drone or get information from this drone that isn't their business. Iran should understand that they took the drone into wrong interpretation. | I believe that Iran should return the drone back to the U.S. because it isnt theirs and wasn't being used for illegal or wrong use. I would understand if the U.S. was doing something wrong.

10: This article is important because as the days go on the border is becoming more dangerous. This helps us to understand the risks we take as we enter into Mexico. This is very dangerous and un-safe. | Fourteen people have been killed on the border connecting Juarez, Mexico and the U.S. An ambulance had Four people in it and was attacked and 2 of them were patients. The ambulance was seen driving into Juarez.

11: 14 Killed in Juarez Attacks | I believe that the border should have more protection and safety in Mexico because this shouldn't be happening. 13: 1991 The Gulf War is waged in the Middle East | The Gulf War was a war waged by a U.N.-authorized coalition force from thirty-four nations led by the United States. The United States won the Gulf War.

14: 1991 Anita Hill presses sexual harassment charges on Clarence Thomas. | Anita Hill testified that Thomas had subjected her to comments of a sexual nature. The debate over who was telling the truth continues.

17: 1991 Cold War ends as the USSR dissolves. | The Cold War began with the rise of Mikhail Gorbachev as leader of the Soviet Union. U.S. President Reagan and Soviet General Secretary Gorbachev signed the INF Treaty.

18: 1991 A tropical cyclone hits Bangladesh. | The cyclone killed 138,000 people in Bangladesh. This cyclone devastated many of the people that were left in Bangladesh.

20: 1991 U.S. President Zachary Taylor is exhumed to discover whether or not his death was caused by arsenic poisoning | Taylor was assassinated because of his moderate stance on the expansion of slavery. Taylor was deliberately assassinated by arsenic poisoning from one of the citizen-provided dishes he sampled during the Independence Day celebration.

23: 1991 A Missouri court passes the death sentence on Palestinian militant Zein Isa and his wife Maria. | Zein and his wife Maria were sentenced to the death penalty for honor killing their daughter Palestina. They tried to escape the punishment but they were caught and put to the death penalty.

24: 1992 Los Angeles riots result in over 50 deaths and $1 billion in damage | The Los Angeles riots are also known as the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest.

27: 1992 27th Amendment, prohibiting changes to Congress members' salaries from taking effect | The Twenty-seventh Amendment prohibits any law that increases or decreases the salary of members of the Congress from taking effect until the start of the next set of terms of office for Representatives. The Twenty-seventh Amendment provides that any change in Congressional salaries may only take effect after the beginning of the next term of office for Representatives.

36: 1993 Branch Davidians standoff and fire in Waco, Texas, resulting in the deaths of 76 people including their leader, David Koresh. | The Waco siege began on February 28, 1993, and ended violently 50 days later on April 19. The siege began when the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives attempted to execute a search warrant at the Branch Davidian ranch at Mount Carmel.

39: 1994 1994 Northridge earthquake kills 72 and injures 9,000 in the Los Angeles area and causes $20 billion in damage. | The Northridge earthquake was a massive earthquake that occurred on January 17, 1994. The earthquake had a "strong" moment magnitude of 6.7, but the ground acceleration was one of the highest ever instrumentally recorded in an urban area in North America.

40: 1994 Northridge Earthquake | The Northridge earthquake was a massive earthquake that occurred on January 17, 1994, at 04:31 Pacific Standard Time in Reseda, a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles, California, lasting for about 10–20 seconds.

42: 1995 Oklahoma City bombing kills 168 and wounds 800. | The Oklahoma City bombing was a bomb attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. Within 90 minutes of the explosion, Timothy McVeigh was stopped by Oklahoma State Trooper Charlie Hanger for driving without a license plate and arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon.

It was followed by another storm on January 12th, then unusually warm weather and torrential rain which caused rapid melting and river flooding.

48: United States Presidential Election of 1996 | The United States presidential election of 1996 was a contest between the Democratic national ticket of President Bill Clinton of Arkansas and Vice President Al Gore of Tennessee and the Republican national ticket of former Senator Bob Dole of Kansas for President and former Housing Secretary Jack Kemp of New York for Vice President.
