2: Harry Truman | Harry Truman, the 33rd president of United States of America, was born in May 8th 1884 in Missouri. From the start, since he was little, he has always been fascinated on reading history books which brought him interest in politics. He then became the president after the unexpected death of Franklin Roosevelt, in the middle of the World War II. In that time, he was a vice president, but right when he was about to get out of a meeting, he was called by the states and was informed that president Franklin Roosevelt has died and that Harry Truman will be president now. By that time (1944), the war was about to end but japan has just started fighting. Truman then decided to bomb Japan with the two atomic bombs we know that was blown in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. By then, it was the first time a nuclear weapon was ever used and that was when other nations and countries started to make nuclear bombs.

4: Doris Day | Doris van Kappelhoff is a singer, actress, and Hollywood star from the early 50’s known from her beauty, good hair and her clear singing voice. She was born on April 3rd, 1922 in Cinatti and since she was a young teenager, she loved singing. When she was a teenager, she started singing in the radio in the 1940’s. There she changed her last name to Day to cover her name and she kept it. Later she became famous in the 50’s. She was interested in being a motion picture actress and a singer. Day joined bands such as Les Brown’s band. She also participated in comedy movies and musicals such as; the musical of Calamity Jane, comedies like pillow talk and that touch of mink, dramatic roles in storm warning, the men who knew too much and love me or leave me. After then, she decided to make her own show called the Doris day show which was a weekly series.

6: Red China | Mao Zedong, one of the most powerful rulers of China, has started the communist party/government in China. He struggled in making the country communist but succeeded in 1949 by going around china encouraging and also forcing the Chinese on the new party like in May 26, 1949, Mao Zedong went to Nanking which he was gladly accepted and they all believed in the communist party. He also went around Shanghai, southern china, and other places in China. By doing so, China then became a new communist country, helped by Stalin, which then was called, the Red China.

8: Johnnie Ray | Johnnie Ray was an amazing singer. Elmer and Hazel Ray were the parents of Johnnie Ray and Elma Ray. At the age of 13, the parents of Johnnie took Johnnie to a church to learn playing the organ. He was taught by “Uncle” Will Caldwell which then was very impressed by Johnnie Ray because anything he heard once, he could play it in the organ. After that he joined the Boy Scouts which a terrible accident happened. In the scouts, a lot of people were jealous by the talents of Johnnie. Then he was given a blanket toss which then they let go and made Johnnie hit his left ear to the ground, losing 50% of his hearing. After high school, he went to Hollywood starting a show called the flame show bar. That was when Johnnie was known by his talents and he then made more shows. Sadly at the age of 80 July 9, 2004, he died.

10: Walter Winchell | Walter Winchell was a famous broadcaster and news reporter in U.S.A. Walter Winchell was born on April 7, 1897 on Chicago, Illinois. He first started his role in the age of 13, when he singing in the Imperial Trio with George Jessel and Eddie Cantor. Afterward, he gained his career by frequently gossiping stuff to Vaudeville News. Later he was sent to New York Daily mirror. In 1932 – 1950s, Walter Winchell made broadcasts on Sunday nights in which more than millions of people listen to his broadcasts. Sadly Walter Winchell retired from his job 12 years before he died, In Los Angeles, February 20, 1972.
