1: Magellan was a hot tempered man. He was 13 years of age when Columbus came back from his trip. When he went on one of his trips he found a strait and it was named after .him. He was born in 1480. On his trip he had a crew of about 234 men. He was Portuguese . He was the first person to circumnavigate the world . That is why he was important in history.
2: Why would want to sail with Ferdinand Magellan? Some sailors wanted to go with him because they wanted to get rich. Others wanted to have a new life of to fallow their dreams of exploring the sea. Some sailors went with him for fame and some for fortune no matter why you wanted to go you had a reason for it. you might even want to claim some of the land you find for the king of Spain. | Why did you want to sail with him?
3: In South America you might encounter snakes, many bugs, and possibly monkeys. The bugs can carry some deadly sicknesses that will wipe out some of your crew. In South America Magellan and his crew were stuck in The Strait Of Magellan. They were running low on food and water so they had to go on land to get food and water that they could drink. The lost many men but they found new land. That is what the encountered. | What did you encounter?
4: It was not fun being on a ship that long because there were people getting sick and were running out of food so a lot of people were hungry. some people stayed in South America. You probably had to share a room with three or more families because there were no more places to sleep. The captain was the only person who had his own room. That is why it was not a good thing to be on a ship that long. | What was it like being on a ship that long?
5: If you made it back home you could be known as a person that sailed all the way around the world. You were lucky if you lived because many of your friends and crew mates died from sickness. Some men on the ship wrote letters home and in many of them it said how good it felt to be out on the sea but how bad the conditions on the ship were. Magellan was a very important person in history and he will be remembered forever. | Conclusion
