 Hello Collin, Goodbye Tuckers
We started the year with a trip to see the Tuckers in Knoxville. It was our last chance to visit with them before they left for Colorado. We also got see baby Collin’s blessing. Cate and Anna had a good time visiting with everyone, and had fun playing with all of the cousins (even Mason and Collin's cousins). We also had a really nice dinner at Sandy and Jay's before we said "goodbye."
The whole family came over to enjoy Cate and Anna's Princess Tea Party in February. We had a great time watching Cinderella, eating finger foods, and drinking princess punch. We played find Cinderella's shoe, pin the crown on the princess, and "Don't eat the poison apple." Cate and Anna had beautiful tulle princess skirts (which lasted about 5 minutes . . . We all had a great time!
Happy Birthday Cate (4) and Anna (2)!
We drove to Longboat Key with Oma and Opa for a little vacation. We spent some time at the beach digging giant holes and the girls tried to swim in the pool (but mostly sat on the steps). We went to the Sarasota Marina to watch the boats. It was a very relaxing, do nothing, slow-paced week. | Longboat Key
This year Cate officially began Pre-K. She had a great year with Ms. Rowena, Ms. LaToya, and Ms. Rose. She learned how to write her name and numbers 1-20 (and maybe a few other things.) She even went on her first field trip to Sesame Street Live at Phillips Arena. Every day when she asked about her favorite activities, she tells me they are “nap time” and “snack.”
 Bride getting ready photos
In October, while Mommy went to training, Cate, Anna, Nana and Daddy went to Longboat Key for a visit. Then, the whole family stopped at Disneyworld for a quick trip. The girls had a great time, and we had a chance to see two parades! Anna's favorite ride was the spinning teacups, but Cate preferred to stick to the carousel and It's A Small World.
The girls had a nice Thanksgiving dinner at DCA this year. They both made costumes and placemats and we had dinner with their classes. What fun! We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving at home this year. The whole family came over and we prepared our first turkey! We set up a BIG, LONG table in the living room and had a great time together. Cate said that the best part about Thanksgiving is that “we love each other.” She’s right.
Christmas was fun! We had “feast night” with the Tuckers and made homemade mushroom soup and cookies for Santa. Then, we woke up on Christmas morning and opened presents at home. Cate got a new bike after a very long wait (she found it in the closet after Santa dropped it off early.) Anna got a soft, sleep-with Shaun the Sheep (from her favorite cartoon.) We had dinner with all of the Schwarzmann cousins at Oma and Opa’s house in Gainesville and ended the day with an exhausted ride home!

Our Annual Family Reunion was fantastic this year! We had so much fun playing games, telling stories and eating lots of great food. My favorite part was listening to all of the grandparents tell stories about their childhood, boy how things have changed. It makes me grateful to live in such convenient times. I will always cherish the memories we create at these special events. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Until next year... | ANNA
