12: History of 469 EN CO MAC Dodgeville, Wisconsin The 469th Mobility Augmentation Company (MAC) was activated in Dodgeville, Wisconsin in 2007. The 469th was formerly Bravo Company. (Combat Mechanized) of the 397th Engineer Battalion. The 469th was subordinate unit to the 389th Engineer Battalion, the 372nd Engineer Brigade, and the 416th Theater Engineer Command. Currently they are a subordinate grouping for 389th Engineer Battalion, Dubuque, Iowa. On August 20, 2010 the 469th EN CO MAC, one hundred twenty one soliders were activated for pre-deployment training for the first deployment from Dodgeville, Wisconsin to Afghanistan. Upon completion of training, they were assigned to the 863rd Engineering Battalion in Afghanistan. After accomplishing many missions, the 469th EN CO MAC was released from theater. Forward Operating Base Sarkari-Kariz, Afghanistan to return to Fort Dix, New Jersey for demobilization. Today August 26th, 2011 we are welcoming home in Dodgeville, Wisconsin the 121 soldiers who sacraficed bravely and served with honor in the United States Army.* | *An excerpt taken from the Homecoming program.
