S: A Year in Pictures: 2011
BC: of 2011
1: I | It has been said, that 2011 will certainly be a year to remember. Not just for our family, but for most residents in New England! Lets see: we had an earthquake (mommy felt it at work) a tornado that just missed us, a hurricane (Irene) that hit our state hard, and then, well, we closed out the year with storm Alfred. Being so memorable, there's even a spread in this book dedicated to “him”! As for our family, Claire truly blossomed. She started gymnastics and computer class (Putterbugs)! She's expressing herself in her pictures, and of course the very colorful outfits she's putting on all by herself. Olivia (pronounced Ooh-la-la) is also getting too big, too fast! She's learning new things every day and communicating with her is a hoot. Just think about "Why chicken in road" and all you can do is...LAUGH! The pictures on the pages that follow are simply to highlight our adventures in 2011 – and what a ride it was! Enjoy! With love - forever and a day, Mommy

6: The winter of 2011 was, simply put, unreal! There was so much snow. The pictures on these pages don't do it justice. Olivia, we couldn't even let you go outside during this adventure because the snow towered over you! Even the Christmas reindeer in our front yard were buried!

22: ALFRED | meet storm | Saturday, October 29, 2011 1 PM - Snow begins - Saturday, October 29, 2011 4:30 PM - Power Out (We attempt to get to Nana & Papa's house, 5:30, only to return home since we went off the road. Trees down, everywhere.) Saturday, October 29, 2011 11:00 PM - Tree falls on neighbors house. We return home, sleep hunkered down in basement. Sunday, October 30, 2011 3:00 PM - Move into Nana and Papa's house with Nene. Monday - October 31, 2011 - Halloween, canceled. Work, closed. Schools closed - most for at least 8 days. Tuesday - November 9, 2011 Power restored and we return home. This will be the storm we will tell our grandchildren about. It truly felt like we lived in a war zone. The downed trees and power lines, were unreal. The storm was over in a matter of 12 hours - the after effects will remain for a lifetime. We were together, safe and warm. Thank you God, for answering our prayers. Amen!
